The article headlines says China born so are they Australian? On paper yes if they are citizens - but are they really?
If I become an Australian citizen I wont really be Aussie I will be a brit with an aussie passport. Kids born there and brought up there is a different story though.
though outside of prison, i dont feel comfortable having cctv cameras everywhere and being watched. Makes you kind of feel like you are a criminal. They always say it is for your own safety etc and to protect the children etc..
i have serious doubts about that LOL
The UK penal system has moved away from punishment to rehabilitation - whatever that means.
The US have the best prisons in the world. I wouldnt want to wind up a prisoner in the US. I would be bricking it.
They really know the meaning of punishment and suffering out there.
LOL
That is like Benthams penopticon prison but in the outside world...you just don't know when you are being watched.
I think it is a bit sinister.
:animal-bat:
LOL
I did speak with Thames migration initially they gave me a lot of information for free and were very helpful in telling me stuff i already kind of knew if you want to use an agent
also you have to do most of the donkey work yourself...get all the papers, sit ielts, get police certificates, get meds, get biorth certificates, get job assessment, etc...
If you can do all that yourself and you probably will then you could ...
who is watching the watchers?
makes me angry this, I mean the people that impose this system are the biggest crooks of them all yet they escape with impunity it seems.
Trackers in cars in australia?
I definately wont be taking a pay cut. I have my PR so in no immediate rush to go anywhere. My only gripe is my present job is driving me crazy. I would of perhaps taken a lower wage to have a job to move too after that look for a better paid one. Finding a job remotely is difficult.
I work in the IT industry
Ok that is useful to know. I had been aiming to get about 90k as in Holland i am on around about 56k.
I may not be able to get quite as good salary there in adelaide as i have here in holland. Will have to see how it pans out.
Dont want to be another disgruntled pom beating a path back to holland LOL
Hoff I hear because of the oil and Gas industry, as well as the mining boom, Perth has become very pricey place to live.
Sure it is lovely place though. You would need to be on a good wage i think to truely enjoy the place the way it is supposed to be enjoyed LOL
