  1. Hello, I dont think there is any harm in lodging a PTA with VETASSESS parallel to the ACS skill assessment. If you feel like having a PTA done, go for it. However bear in mind that VETASSESS does take 12-14 weeks to give you get a response. I got my ACS skill assessment within 6 weeks of lodging.
  2. It doesnt matter what you Said even if you are speaking the truth.. the DIAC needs proof. You should have got your Skills Assessment Done before lodging a VISA Application. Claiming points against Work would mean that you hold a +ve Skill assessment. As others have mentioned, I think its wise for you to re-apply. Now that you have burnt your fingers, suggest you get some professional help and have a Migration agent assist you.
  3. I am still not sure how CEP (Country Education Profiles) can help, so if anybody has some more info.. pl advise for enlightenment of others...
  4. found out a couple of days ago that VETASSESS does Qualification recognition for "Points test purpose". so for all who are sailing in the same boat as I, vetassess is the way to go. the process is completely online. you can fill out the form, attach necessary docs and post to the VETASSESS. I am not sure about the processing time for these..

  7. VETASSESS also helps in Advisory Letter on Qualifications for Points Test purposes (non-VETASSESS occupations) but not sure where in vetassess URL to look for and which form to fill up... Help anyone...:ssign16:
  8. Melbourne Folks, Hope u enjoying summadayze.. I have cleared my ACS (ANZSCO 263111-Computer Network and Systems Engineer ) and also cleared the IELTS (L-8, R-8.5, W-8.5, S-7). That was all about the good news..I cannot submit my EOI since my Edu qualification isnt recognized by ACS. My ACS verdict says: your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 263111. your Work experience has been calculated as follows on the basis of full time employment of atleast 20 Hrs per week. Company #1) Overseas Co. W.Exp 4 Yrs 8 Months Company #2) Aussie Co. W.Exp 2 Yrs 4 Months There is no mention of my Edu Qualification recognition in the verdict. I am not sure if I Have my Edu qualifications recognised. I have done a Bachelors in Commerce B.COM from Mumbai University, India. I have learnt that VETASSESS does Educ Qualification assessment for point test purposes for DIAC. Can anyone help/guide me to the right form or URL. Would be great if anyone can direct me to any other authorized body who can validate my Bachelors degree as comparable to the Aus Degree.
  9. Hello Paul, I did use the PASA template to fill in my project report for RPL. btw, i got my Skills assessed.
  10. I spoke to my migration agent about this and they said that "Country Education profiles" accept Mumbai Uni Bach Degree of 3 years (in any division) acceptable as equivalent to AUS Bach Degree. This is acceptable equal to Aus Degree by immigration; however, if I want a fool proof assessment, it is done by Vetassess and will cost extra. The Link to Country Education Profiles is : https://aei.gov.au/Services-And-Resources/Services/Country-Education-Profiles/About-CEP/Pages/default.aspx
  11. I have done a Bachelors in Commerce B.COM from Mumbai University, India.

  13. HEllo Poms.. I had my Skills recognised under ANZSCO 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer). I had put in an RPL application. The ACS verdict has mentioned it has found my skills suitable for migration and that my work Ex is calculated as follows Company #1) Overseas Co. W.Exp 4 Yrs 8 Mnths Company #2) Aussie Co. W.Exp 2 Yrs 4 Mnths There is no mention of my Edu Qualification recognition in the verdict. Prior to submitting my RPL application, I had put in a Skill assessment for Software Engineer, which had failed but there they had recognised my qualification to a Australian Bachelors degree.. Now I am in a dilemma wheather to submit my EOI, since I am not sure if I Have my Edu qualifications recognised. I have done a Bachelors in Commerce B.COM from Mumbai University, India. Kindly help.. Skill Migration

Hello India folks, Namaste. No need to go through an agent. Skilled migration can be done by yourself without any help from agents. Spend some time to get info about tge process and you will be good to go. For starters, visit the aus immi website and check out your eligibility.. Next up your skill Assessment.. 16. I guess that means ur Qualification is recognised as comparable to AQF stndrds... ##################### MY version of query.. My main query was if my Edu Qualification is B.COM with insufficient ICT content(I have done certification courses though: RHCE, MCP, ORacle) and my RPL project Report will give me a Positive Skill Assessment Letter. I have total of 6Yrs W.Exp in the nominated category.. I learnt from my lawyer that they may take away some Yrs from your W.Exp to set off against the insufficient ICT category to award me the Skill commensurate.. P.S.I applied for ACS skill assessment some time back by ACS and the assessment recognised my Bachelors of commerce as comparable to Aus Bachelors degree with insufficient ICT content and therefore doesnt meet requirements for a qualification as prescribed in PIM3. ACS however recognised my Work Experience. Any help here.....
  17. Not sure .. but cant you just ask your HR to furnish a new letter with all the inclusions you desire to have.. i guess if you have already submitted it, ACS might come back and ask you if they get stuck anywhere.. I issued my certifications and the wanted to verify that.. they sent a mail to my laywer and we then forwarded them the URL where ACS cAn verfiy my Certification... Hope tht helps//
  18. Well my Work Experience is post education.. 19. [h=2][/h] I had my Skills assessed by ACS and the assessment recognised my Bachelors of commerce as comparable to Aus Bachelors degree with insufficient ICT content and therefore doesnt meet requirements for a qualification as prescribed in PIM3. ACS however recognised my Work Experience. I am once again considering applying for skill assessment ( 261112 SYSTEMS ANALYST) and also filled the PASA Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) doco in which I have to submit Project reports. My Qualification (Bachelors of Commerce ) and RPL and Work Exp (6 Yrs 2 Mths relevant skill) are now ready for Skills assessment.. I consulted this with a lawyer and his opinion is that the ACS may award a skill assessment but may knock off a couple of Yrs from my W.Exp setting off the ICT content. Is this correct.. Opinions pls.. If that is the case,it will be difficult to apply for PR under subclass 175 as I may lose points for my W.Exp.

Currently my application is being loodged.. Do you think, in this case, If I apply for ACS skill assessment, should that be any issue.. ?? Peace//:hug:

THe New Employer has already filed for my new 457... which will get done very soon.. Just wanted to knw... Does changing my Employer result in restricting me from not applying for Permanant Residency under any of the subclass : Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175) ... or any other subclass.. Does the requirement for applying for PR state that I have to be working with my current employer for atleast 12 Months..?? Can i not apply for Skill assessment ??
