  1. Thank you Tink, he is such a softy it's sad to see him unwell. Metoo x
  2. Back from vets already. They have kept him for the day at least as he looks so listless. He has a slight temperature and they are going to do some blood tests to check liver and kidney function. He may need an intro venus drip but hopefully not. He does however have a full bladder which I hope is a good sign. He didn't go out for a wee this morning as he was not feeling well enough to be bothered. The big problem now is his anti bodies test on Tuesday. If he needs antibiotic, that may bring down his antibody count before he gets tested for his rabies result. Anyway, vet said she won't give antibiotic without speaking to us first. I have to ring them after 1.30 if they haven't been in touch by then. Metoo x
  3. Just rang vets, they said bring him in straight away. Will let you know how he gets on x
  4. Thanks guys, will ring vets and get him checked. He is just curled up now, not even had a wee today.
  5. Hi everyone, My cat had his rabies jab 3 weeks ago and has been fine except he went off his food. Not completely but definitely eating less and more fussy. This morning however, he has been sick several times, now its just little pools of bile and he is looking very sorry for himself. He is due to have the blood test for antibodies on Tuesday. As this would be the time when the antibodies would peak, would this have any bearing on his upset tum? We were not old to look out for any symptoms. Thanks for reading
  6. What happens if your partner is not an Aussie. We fall in love with the person, not his/her nationality. Just wondered
  7. The OP was born and brought up in Australia, she has family in Australia. I am sure she is well aware of what Australia has to offer for herself and her child, or not as the case may be.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful can't wait to visit Cairns, you live in paradise PQ
  9. I bet we all think that ours is the most interesting, romantic story ever. The poor person who has the job of reading all the stat decs is probably yawning her/his head off by lunch time. Lol

    in a pickle

That is exactly what I was going to say. I get on with my partners family but would not ever like to live with them.
  11. We wrote a stat dec each. When we met, where we met, introducing the families. how and when we realised that this was a serious relationship, how it developed. when we moved in together, how we planned our future together and why we chose Australia. we also included how we supported each other (gave instances of events) how we divided household bills and chores. And finally that we were to people in love and wanted to share our lives together. Hope this helps x
  12. To be honest, I never realised it was so tough for Bits until i read this. I have no idea how the Aussies stand upon their return.
  13. If returning to the UK after several years, would you pass the 'habitual residents test'? these ladies were shocked that they did not. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2508965/The-Shirley-Valentines-Britain--broke-First-sunshine-marriages-fell-apart-Then-Greek-financial-crisis-forced-home--nastier-surprise.html

    big mistake ....

I think Pob has given some excellent advice, as have the other posters. It looks like you need to go back. As Pob says, can you save enough for your husband to go back, secure a job and a rental and the rest of the family follow. It's not ideal but I think you need a plan and something to aim for otherwise you may get stuck in your UK life and spend years wishing it was different. Hope you can work it out, sorry x
  18. So, we all agree that 4 yrs is not long enough, and basically we all agree that the law is wrong. How will we ever change the law if people like you, and the people on the parole board defend the release of this woman? if the law is wrong we should all be screaming it from the roof tops not shrugging our shoulders and saying well that's the law so "what's the problem" RIP baby Peter
  19. So Paul, do you think that 4 yrs is a fitting sentence for allowing the torture and murder of a baby
  20. Next thing on our list is to visit the German Christmas markets. We went a couple of years ago to the one in Dortmund but this year we were thinking of Dusseldorf. It really gets you into the Christmas spirit x
  21. I would say its doubtfull because of the fruit
  22. 20 :elvis: you will get tennis elbow
  23. I bought one of those Christmas cake kits last December, they come in a sealed bag with everything you need except eggs i think. It's still in the cupboard in its bag lol. Wonder if it will be ok to use this year. I don't bake much lol
