  1. We bought a house in christies beach last year, large plot, pool ect with sea/beach less that 2 min drive.. love the area would recommend..
  2. another forum mentioned bridging visas but unsure about that route too. i think they will have to stick to their 3 months holiday each year. We have enough room in our garden for them to build a granny house/flat so that would cut down costs but i think its still far to much financially. thanks for all the replies. Lisa
  3. I had no idea of the extra $14,000, well i think that answers things, no way can they/we afford all that.. thanks for the assistance.
  4. thank you both for your replies, therefore can i clarify that out of first instalment of $2,060, then the second installment of $42,220, x2 $84,440, we would only get back $14,000 after the 10yrs? sorry im totally rubbish at getting all of this, Lisa
  5. Hello.. can anybody answer me this.. if my parents came on a permanent Contributory Parent (Migrant) visa (subclass 143) and one of them died before the 10 years is up (when they get the bond refunded). Is half of the money refunded to the spouse or family? As the cost will be nearly $100,000 for the 2 of them, its a lot of money to lose. Hope i have made sense Lisa
  6. obviously, super cool kids names, lol.. i cant answer the question on the schooling as we had a pr visa and were in South Australia. i pay for private school for Ethan which is around $5000 per year, Adam passed his SACE in public school last year that cost us around $390 for the year. im sure somebody else can answer this for you.
  7. Oh the joys i remember it well, well if you have failed you wont be the first or last!! i failed my first two on the reading with 6.5, then my third on the writing 6.5, but got this over turned into a pass. was gonna give up said to hubby would only attempt 3 times. its just practice, practice, practice... lots of free stuff online, i paid for ielts higher one month in the end. Good luck, you may have done fine
