Sheidow Park in Adelaide.... Any advice??
gareth and lisa replied to Wenstu's topic in South Australia
We bought a house in christies beach last year, large plot, pool ect with sea/beach less that 2 min drive.. love the area would recommend.. -
another forum mentioned bridging visas but unsure about that route too. i think they will have to stick to their 3 months holiday each year. We have enough room in our garden for them to build a granny house/flat so that would cut down costs but i think its still far to much financially. thanks for all the replies. Lisa

Hello.. can anybody answer me this.. if my parents came on a permanent Contributory Parent (Migrant) visa (subclass 143) and one of them died before the 10 years is up (when they get the bond refunded). Is half of the money refunded to the spouse or family? As the cost will be nearly $100,000 for the 2 of them, its a lot of money to lose. Hope i have made sense Lisa

obviously, super cool kids names, lol.. i cant answer the question on the schooling as we had a pr visa and were in South Australia. i pay for private school for Ethan which is around $5000 per year, Adam passed his SACE in public school last year that cost us around $390 for the year. im sure somebody else can answer this for you.

Hi, im still waiting for my application to be sorted, it will be 6 months since i sent it in two weeks time. Every time they ask for info i supply it the best i can, then its not good enough so have to beg to the uni to supply even more!! iv just sent all my module briefs after a very nice lady at the uni helped me out.. Now im piggy in the middle between the nmc & ahpra over my verification of practice form. nmc say they have sent it and ahpra saying they havent received it. nmc say wont send another until they have made contact with ahpra but neither sides are willing to talk or email each other :arghh:. i dont know whether it depends who you get at the other end or they just enjoy making us stressed!!! Hi we emigrate on 24th Oct and have been told by our local education authority that our youngest who is 11 and just moving to High school DOES have to go to school even though we are emigrating. Luckily they are paying for all the new school uniform but im worried that it will put him under a lot of pressure, to move then move again. (Ethan has mild Autism). I told LEA that he would not miss out on school as he would go back a year but they didnt want to know said by law he has to go. We have to move out of our house for shippers first week in Oct and will be living out of the area with my parents so im not taking him then + we want to visit hubbys family in Wales before we go. So he could be there only 3 weeks!! tempted just to phone him in sick!!! Lisa

We originally wanted to move in Sept but having no luck at all with the house :frown: not one sole viewer!!! didnt want to apply for jobs until house sold, hopefully AHPRA wont be too long either. Will probally give it until Feb as need to validate visa by April, if no look will probally have to look at remortgaging and renting out. I like the look of Noaralunga hospital but been told its hard to get into. Never been to SA so a little hard to plan where to live and work as dont know the distances. Are you on Poms in Adelaide as i spend most of my time on there now. Your a little to far for a face to face chat, although my son is in Edinburgh today on a train trip. Lisa x
