  1. Thanks Ali i wasn't sure if I had to write war and peace or short answers. Currently sitting trying to write a cv - it's not the easiest thing to do!!! im a bit freaked out about work- doesn't seem to be many non clinical jobs for nurses at the moment- hopefully it will change!! Thanks again Carol
  2. Thank you Mrs Kelly - is their online banking good?
  3. Hi does anyone know how much westpac charge for sending money to a UK bank account? Thanks carol
  4. Hi I am looking for help writing my statement for job applications. Are they looking for the information to be laid out in a certain way- headings for each essential criteria? How much information do they look for? I will be applying for jobs that would be experience equivalent of 8a or 7. Any help would be appreciated Carol
  5. Hi I am interested in this too- I will need to send money back to UK on a monthly basis
  6. Hi have you had a look at journals? There is quite a bit of literature to say this approach has had it's day! Here is PBA in a nutshell-http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/problem-solving+approach+to+patient-centered+care carol
  7. Hi maggie i know!! I call my CO quite often! She is team 34 and very helpful. Dont be afraid to call you are paying for the service! You could check with them that your medicals are showing their end cx
  8. Hi maggie she didn't get X-ray when she went for medical we were told she didn't need it then after medical we were told she did need it! We then contacted the medical place to book X-ray and was told they couldn't book it as they were told she didn't need it! After talking to CO it was confirmed she didn't require it!! We were then told medical had to be sent to global health as they are only people who can take off the X-ray requirement that DIAC added in error!! Even typing it out just sounds ridiculous! I can't believe the processes (or lack of) that they follow it's crazy!!
  9. Update on my medical debacle My husband and I undertook medicals- everything ok My husbands non migrating daughter undertook her medicals in March- 'A' grade no issues. We were then informed that she required a chest X-ray after her medical (even though non migrating and low risk country-uk) then was informed that she didn't need it! The X-ray was showing on her medical as outstanding so health strategies sent it to global health for it to be removed as no one else could do this simple task! Fast forward 3 months of stress (we are planning on migrating in August) and after being put on priority list I was informed today that global health had looked at the medical and they require further tests..... you guessed it they are requesting the X-ray to be complete- arghhhh! I found this out at 5pm Brisbane time so nothing can be done about this until tomorrow. my CO is lovely and will raise this with her manager tomorrow i hope it gets sorted tomorrow! stressed!!!!!
  10. No state sponsorship won't have you living in the outback! I think you are talking about a regional visa- state is different in that you can live anywhere in the state. Look up a 190 visa for info best of luck carol
  11. Hi Are you using an agent- the process for nurses is relatively simple she'd get: age 30points nursing degree 15points IELTS 20points =65points time you get IELTS she'll be nearly 1 year qualified Best of luck carol
  12. Maybe it is a new job that is needed? All the issues you have put down in the post are due to your job -you could get a new job and then see how you feel. you could get in touch with one parent organisations and see if there is any help available re childcare Good luck cx
  13. Hello I have not used them so cannot comment I'd PM this poster to clarify who they are talking about http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/187398-agent-ruined-my-visa.html
  14. Hi The delay will be in excess of 3 months
  15. We haven't used one we had no reason to - straight forward application. Our application is dragging on a bit because one medical was spot checked so its sitting with MOC but an agent wouldn't have made any difference to this. Carol
  16. Hello if your daughter had a 'B' grade medical then it will be referred for sure. Current waiting time to be reviewed looks like in excess of 4 months I have been waiting 3 months (all 'A' grade) :'( what I would say is find out why your daughter was a 'B' and try and gather evidence about the medical issue as you may well be asked for further evidence. best of luck in your journey carol
  17. Hi I think the community health nurse JD is quite similar- surveillance, parenting etc... carol
  18. Hello I used DHL at WH Smith- £34 and it got there in 4 days You need to use the office address and not the courier address as DHL will not find the courier address in their system. Best of luck Carol
  19. Hi I'd keep calm! An agent will make no difference to your wait What I would say is crack on with your medicals as if you get referred you will have at least a 3 month wait for MOC. If your medical link is not on your electronic visa page you can call dept of immi and ask for HAP so you can get them done Best of luck carol
  20. Hi you could send the CO an email in a week if you don't hear anything incase your medicals got lost in system or referred. One of our medicals got referred - nothing wrong just luck of the draw! Best of luck carol
  21. Hi all i have a First Direct account here in UK and looking to open a HSBC account for use in Aus- can I do this from UK? We have opened a Westpac account from here and was wondering if HSBC offer this too? I called HSBC and they were talking to me about offshore accounts but that's not what I'm after! Carol
  22. Hi Everyone I am waiting too, it is really hard. Me and hubby migrating to Perth both A grade- medicals passed Non-migrating step daughter (nearly 18) A grade medical referred- no reason I will fill in the wee google doc Carol x
  23. We are heading to WA too going to stay with friends in Waikiki until we get sorted. Due to medical referral we are now hoping to go over first week in Sept. we (me and hubby) have never been either but figure it will be great a new chapter in life to enjoy and look back on congrats on your visa all the best for your new chapter carol
  24. Scrumpy How long did you wait for medical to be passed? Carol
  25. I feel your pain! I am waiting on non migrating step daughters medical coming back from MOC. I actually called my CO in tears when I found out it was referred because we were planning to go out in Aug and feel freaked out we could wait another few months for visa (hubby has 3 months notice period at work). My CO was really nice (Brisbane team34) she must think I'm nuts though! I will post on here as soon as I get visa so it helps others in this awful situation.
