  1. Does anyone have children at either lower or secondary school at Pacific Pines? How have you found it in terms of settling in etc? Can you advise me on the costs too?? Thanks
  2. That is brilliant information from you both, thank you so much. Would you be able to tell me a few more things, does my husband qualifications transfer over or is there some others certificates he needs? I hope I have got this correct but he said a skilled sponsored regional visa ? 489 I think. Is that what you mean? The thing stopping us is we would only have 4 months worth of money if we had no jobs, then that is all our money gone!
  3. Happy to move, about to apply for visas etc just would love to know is it realistic to go without a job planned? I have trawled the Internet and on seek.com.au alone for full time jobs in Brisbane there are over 200 jobs advertised. If applying nearer the time do you think that its realistic to think within a few weeks of moving (if not before) he could land a job? Happy to hear all opinions
  4. No No Rupert, once we get on track we find there is something else we have missed lol! wasn't scowling at father - sorry if misunderstood.
  5. Forgot all about this! Need permission from ex-husband to take my son abroad  anyone else had the same problem and any advice please  [h=3]http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/including-family-members/ Custody[/h]Australia must fulfil its international obligations in relation to the prevention of child abduction. If your application includes a child under 18 years of age and that child’s other parent (or any other person with a legal right to decide where the child lives) is not also migrating, you must prove you have the right to move the child. Acceptable forms of proof are certified copies of: an overseas court order giving you sole custody of the child a statutory declaration, signed by the child’s other parent (or other person with a legal right to decide where the child lives), that allows you to take the child to Australia a death certificate for the other parent an Australian court order giving you the sole right to decide where the child should live.

    Which VISA

I'm sorry if this has been repeated. Could you please help us on which Visa is best for us. My husband works as a Chef (current been with employer for 7 years, Chef for 16 years) - we would want to focus on his career. I currently work for a call center (lifeline emergency calls), worked in nursing homes etc while children were babies. Before the younger children i am part qualified with accounts (AAT Level 2 & 3) i lack confidence in this but feel i am a good book keeper (also payroll computerized accounts). We would like to sell here and move abroad for several years/permanent. We have family in Australia but not immediate (3rd cousins in effect). Thanks in advance
  8. Hi Kate, We are sort of int he same position, my son who is 15 now (16 October going into year 11 September) if we moved it would be next year hence starting Austrialia in year 12/13 - he's very happy to move i'm worried im going to 'ruin' his education - if you get me? Any help gratefully received.
  9. Hi all, we are in Cheshire and seriously thinking of 'the move'! i'm drawn to Brisbane for some reason. Would love some advise and guidance and the internet is mine field! I have 3 children, 3, 5 & 15 (eldest is defo up for moving which was one of my fears if he didn't want to) - so no stopping us really. Thanks in advance, Clare
