Hi Metcalfs i got an email sent from my case officer telling me her details/introduction and asking for further evidence for a couple of things. She is based in Brisbane and is really good at responding to anything I ask via email. One of the things she asked for was further evidence of relationship - we are married but wanted more than wedding cert- so I sent off loads as we have been together for 16 years and maxed out the memory in my visa file lol so now I need to email her directly the other info she asked for oh BTW I got asked to complete form 80 too :-( maybe they won't ask for anything else and you will just go straight to visa granted with no CO requests :-) Hope you guys get visa soon xx

Hi there we have our case officer :-) I am getting some forms signed by justice of peace tomorrow my husbands daughter is having a medical this week..... and that's about it! Hope to have our visa in next 2 weeks oh and I have form 80 to complete i'll do that the next couple of days Cx

There is a list of approved people when you apply for your visa a list is provided in the medical part- you could google it I'm sure you will find it

Really- my understanding is that they are not allowed to charge- she was even a bit funny about being able to accept the of chocs I gave her as a thank you! I wonder who you could query it with as you are going to pay a lot of money out

Thanks Metcalfs i am going to start the registration process next week. I have been getting my documents notarised by Justice of the Peace they do it for free - if you call your local JoP they will give you an apt and do it for free and save you cash! Cx

Hello Yes they asked for: form 80 for both of us an example selection of pay slips (for me main applicant) Further evidence of relationship (married for12 yrs- had attached the certificate but they want more info) Notarised transcripts of educational achievements (nothing else has had to be notarised) Cx

Hi all I suppose this is a bit of a daft question.... How do I know when I have a Case Officer? I have uploaded all my docs and my husbands too some of the documents have changed in status to received so what does this mean- is someone working on our file or is this a bog standard thing? Hi All I am looking for some advice or for you to share your experience if you have been through this.... My husband has an estranged 17 year old child she will be 18 in October we have submitted our 189 and are now in a panic re her information- doesn't look like we will be able to get her medical or police check or passport copy or anything!

Hello yes you can save and edit it before you submit it and pay for it I would reccomend pressing the save button after you put in any information as it crashes a lot and I mean that it can crash about five times per page! I cannot remember the cost in Au$ but it cost £2,000- you don't pay this when you hit the apply button you pay this at the end when you submit the electronic visa form so no need to worry about hitting the apply button! you do not get your medicals at this point your case officer will ask you to go for it; it is meant to take four weeks after submission to get a case officer but it is taking around seven weeks due to festive period. I haven't been for medical yet (going in a few weeks) but by all accounts it's nothing OTT maybe someone else will give you info on medicals carol

Hi Lorna Yes we bailed out too! Not sure when you last went but it has went down the road of many steel work towns and has fallen into tough times the street is full of empty shops but if you are after some alcohol it must have about 20 pubs! It is such a shame it has been allowed to fall apart. We go back quite often although not as much as we used to it is like night and day from where we are now!

Hello all I have applied for my 189 yey- now to tackle AHPRA- what do I do? Can anyone give me a breakdown of what I need to do? Will I need to gather a lot more evidence than ANMAC required? All I have read on here is that it is a nightmare and takes a long time. I am looking to go over in August so thought best to get ball rolling now! If anyone is willing to share their AHPRA CV I would be really grateful- I am not sure what to list under clinical and procedural skills and surely they can't mean all clinical and procedural skills!?! I am not in clinical practice anymore- for about 5 years at least- so not sure if they also want management info under that part... help! Thanks Carol

Got an invite to apply for 189 today- happy days!!!!!

Hi Freesia I was very polite on the phone. I could not get past the woman on reception to talk to the person that I have been in email correspondence with. I asked to talk with the person I was emailing back and forward and the receptionist told me in poor English "no talk you send email". I said that I would prefer to talk over the phone and I had already been in email correspondence and there were errors in my LOD- she was relaying what I was saying to someone in the background then she said "hold on" disappeared for a couple of minutes came back and said "you send email she no here ok bye-bye" and promptly hung up the phone!!! After she hung up on me I let rip with a few choice words but only to my four walls- I don't normally use profanity- I really don't. However, at the moment she hung up on me the woman I was looking for who 'wasn't there' sent me an email. After 11 emails back and forward last night that is right 11!!!! It has been ascertained that I will receive a replacement but the date and LOD ref number will remain the same so I unsuspended my application and have fingers crossed that I will be a December invite! I am really very disappointed with the service.
