I called ANMAC and they were really rude I am even more raging- eh you're not doing me a favour I've paid over £500 for the stupid assessment! I am so angry I said the 'c' word (not to them but after they hung up on me) that Scottish people use quite freely but other members of the uk find shocking! Arghhhhhhhhhh I am going to complain to the boss of ANMAC raging raging raging!!!

Well..... I received my positive skills assessment from ANMAC at the start of the month I received the Letter of Determination (LOD) in the post a few days ago it was missing some of my experience and had lumped everything together under one employer even although I have had four over the past ten years. I emailed ANMAC asking about my LOD and if this was normal to have everything lumped together- didn't hear back so I submitted my EOI as the LOD contained 8 years experience anyway. Lo and behold.......... after submitting my EOI ANMAC emailed me today at 1am.... Dear Carol your LOD is wrong please send back and when we receive it we will issue your new one (not even a sorry btw). Time it takes to reach them will be two weeks time they receive it and send the new one it will be at least three more weeks because of Christmas. I had to suspend my EOI today (I hope that was right thing to do wasn't sure if I should withdraw it) I am gutted as I had 75 points so thought I would be in with a good chance of getting an invite on saturday :'( or the 15th. I am raging as we want to be in Aus for start of August I am going to wait up and call them tonight I do not understand why she cannot just tell me the details of the LOD so I can submit my EOI all i need is case No. and date of LOD I am at no fault here arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ANMAC you are certainly not my friend!!! :arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Hi all i received my letter from ANMAC yesterday they had assessed me as a community health nurse even though I'd marked myself down as generic reg nurse. I am not sure how that will impact on me claiming points for experience as I am just short of 8 years for community health but have more experience with generic reg nurse I'm a little worried in case I submit my EOI wrong with over 8 years of experience! cx

Got this today..... I have undertaken the assessment of your application ; it has now progressed to a further assessment by a 2nd checker as per ANMAC policy; as soon as this is completed you will receive your letter of determination. This process could take one week maximum depending on the workload of the unit and then will be posted directly to you; please be mindful it may take 2 weeks to reach you by mail. It says application approved on my online account- yey!!!

Just a thought....... why don't you do it online with a UK uni and then your fees will be cheaper and you can do it at times to suit you?

Hello pom4165 We are hoping to go to Perth but we would go to Sydney too but if we went there it would be a stop gap until we could get to Perth I am not working as a clinical nurse I haven't been for a while my last patient contact role was Health Visiting since then I have worked in Public Health and Professional Development. I am not sure what kind of role I will get in Aus! I have started my PgCert in Education and hoping to get a lecturers post or prof development post I am not sure if I would get a public health post as I haven't seen any advertised. I have seen quite a few DN posts advertised is that what you fancy doing or are you up for a change? I checked ANMAC again this morning- no update on my status! Cx

Hi pom4165 At first I couldn't access my status but it was because of cookies the computer was using the original password (from when when first registering). I would try deleting your cookies then switching off computer then trying to log back in and see if that helps Hi George106 Fingers and toes crossed for a speedy assessment! I will keep you posted! Hello yes mine says that too...... Application Status: Application submitted and paid - waiting on supporting documentation. I was a bit excited as on the email it is saying around 12 weeks for processing but, I am not sure if that is from when she has emailed me or from when I submitted as on the website i think it says 14 weeks for processing. I am so sad that I think I check my update page everyday! Hi Everyone I got this today from ANMAC I have currently undertaken an initial review of your application prior to filing in a queue to await my assessment. At this time it appears that all your documents are in order, so please be patient and when I am ready to undertake further assessment I will be in contact. You do not need to respond to this email as it is for information only. ANMAC requests you refrain from contacting us as it becomes time consuming to continue to correspondence with applicants/ agents before an assessment takes place and takes the ANMAC assessor away from progressing new and current assessments. Our website advises that it can take approximately 12 weeks for an assessment to be reviewed and depending on what modified and full assessments are in the queue and the email correspondence I have to respond to determines if I can undertake the assessment earlier.

Hi all I called ANMAC this morning they found my verification of registration they received it before my application so they'd saved it in another file. They couldn't find my IELTS form so I will need to call and have it resent. I spoke to a really helpful girl called Gemma (I think) she said its still taking around 12 weeks to process. Carol

Hello Yes me! I applied 17th August I'll update on this thread when I hear anything. I am going to call the ANMAC tomorrow as my IELTs and my verification of registration are not showing up on the online application status see if i need to chase up either of them! Best of luck everyone Cx

Just a thought if you paid by credit card or at least £100 by credit card you could call your credit card and see if you can dispute payment as they have obviously not provided what you paid them for Cx

Hi George 106 I just contacted the local civic council and they gave me a list of the Justice of Peace in the area and i just called them all until i got the first to answer! She signed them all for free (well a thank you card and box of chocs). I'd always go for the free option as it is an expensive enough process without forking out for a solicitor, and I'm Scottish so every penny's a prisoner! Hi I am back on with more questions I have applied for ANMAC assessment- I have sent off with 5 years community experience code 254414 and I put down the rest 6 years as Reg'd nurse NEC code 254499 (although could prob have put some more under community) So what will show up on my ANMAC skills assessment document- will that specify the code? When I apply for a visa can I claim all my years of experience as a nurse or will i only be able to claim 5 or 6 years depending on what ANZSCO code i have/use? When looking for state sponsorship what category of ANZSCO code would i use (that's if the ANMAC don't specify it) Thanks in advance guys Carol
