  • Hi there,  I'm enrolled on a Masters of Teaching (Primary) degree beginning in February and my current WHV is due to expire in December. Does anyone have any advice on writing the GTE statement for the student visa 500? I've been on a WHV for three years so want the GTE statement to explain that the level of education I receive in Australia is higher than in the UK and will lead to better employment opportunities. But how to prove that the Masters is better than a PGCE? Thanks. 

  • Hi guys, So I have been in Australia for 4 years with my working holiday visa and Covid visa, and have recently decided I would like to get qualified as a carpenter so I could either stay here or New Zealand. From my understanding I could do a student visa and pay for a course through Tafe, while working on the side to support myself. However, I have come across a fast track course in the UK where I can get a city & guilds level 2 Diploma. If I attained this, would I be able to come back over to Australia and work and learn on the job and essentially fast track myself to getting my AFQ level 3, rather than starting from the beginning at TAFE?     Hi, we are moving over from the uk to the Gold Coast next May 2025 but our daughter will be 16 then and left school permanently. If we had stayed she would have gone onto study for her A Levels . Will she be too old to go to school in Gold Coast and where will she need to go to get her qualifications to gain entry into University? hope someone can help.

  • Hi, I am an Australian married to Brit, have been living in the UK last 18 years. Now thinking of moving back. We have three kids who will be 18,16 and 10 when we move back (hopefully all will go well). My family lives there and kids visit frequently. They are happy to move so far. Eldest will start uni and 16 year old will start in year 11.  I wanted to ask others how hard/easy was it for your older kids to make lifelong friends there? Most of my friends who I kept in touch with back home (in sydney) are from high school. Not really in touch with uni friends. When I look at my siblings, most of their lifelong friends are also from high school. That makes me fee
