176 visa lodged January 2012

Recommended Posts

I lodged my partners and mine on the 25th of january and today we just got an email saying the VISA had been granted.

Good luck to those still waiting and congratulations to those those got theirs!

Have to say the whole visa process was pretty much painless, quick and straight forward. The most difficult thing was the ACS accreditation and getting all the necessary paper work together.

Congrats Jove too....

wow this is a great day for visa grants!

Congrats dmcevilly! That was really quick and efficient - frontloading clearly makes a huge difference :)

No news on my visa yet... I'll give them a day or two then mail them to ask if they need anything more... it's close now though!!

Ahhh..Dono :( Am feeling for you. Youve really had to wait it out as has poor Heather. Delighted Heather that OHs appointment is coming up..cna imagine the hours at this stage are dragging on.

Dono Id say once the meds has been finalised youll be granted visa immediately :)

Hello, I'm new here. I had to hi-jack this thread because I lodged my app in November and it seems everyone on those threads has been granted a visa and is off to the sunny side! So I know how painful it is to wait and wait.... we sent in our police clearance and medicals mid feb. While I read these threads and see how fast it has been for some, I feel like I am going insane!! I'm sure I'm not the only one with that feeling?

Wahoooooooo! I've got my VISA GRANT! He just required some further proof of employment, which I emailed back saying I'd uploaded some pay slips and an employment reference as soon as I received the email. Then 15 minutes later I had my Visa Grant! I can't believe it! I want to wake everyone up!

Wow that is really fast! Congratulations, when are you planning on going?

Sorry should have asked, have you booked your medicals yet? we got a deal with one in Manchester where the youngest child goes free... we are booked for 17th March.

That is a great deal Heather, we went with the Bridgewater hospital - maybe we should have gone to the spire as it seems cheaper! Ah well...

Not long to wait till your medicals now, my hubby has apt with specialist on the 12th so fingers crossed we will both have our visa's soon.

Next question, do we need to get the visa attached into our passports? or is the grant notification and passport acceptable at immigration in Oz?
