  1. The visa has not even been granted yet. I lodged my appl in JAN this year and hoped things will be dealt with quickly but the more I emailed to check for progress I kept being told it can take as long as 18months, and that each case is different. The last time I called I was given the number of my CO because you can call them directly now. He said he will look into my case and email me because at the time he could not log into their system. He never emailed me. I have lost wind in my sails now and will just wait. No more calls or emails.
  2. We have to re-do all ours now and I am piied off by this..but hey ho I am learning the hard way and dont wish this to happen to anyone else...all the best
  3. I don't believe this is the case. Iam British and believe Britain is a low risk country, I submitted all the requested information and my CO emailed telling me I was suppose to wait till the info was requested by him. I challenged the fact that nowhere on the DIAC WEBSITE does it warn you to wait and the fact that after you lodge your application you are presented with a checklist of requirements ------and he said I was suppose to wait. So I would wait if I was you.
  4. Hi, The IELTS test must be dated before the visa application lodgement. If you cant meet the criteria any other way do not lodge your application before the ielts is done or you will loose your money.
  5. Hi Cyberslam, My advice is wait to be asked to do your medicals..I learnt very expensively that its better to wait to be asked by your CO. I got the checklist and did everything and waited for allocation of a co who then told me I should have waited . medicals about to expire no positive news yet. Good luck with everything.
  6. I hope you get yours too. Its such a hard decision to migrate and it is so frustrating to have to wait and anticipate. I have stopped checking too and have given up and have had to tell myself to live my life otherwise this visa will take over everything. Rosey..
  7. I did Ack and this was their reply on the 8th of March ,,"Thank you for your email. Please be advised the medicals which you are enquiring about have been assessed and finalised. If you should require further information please contact the case officer or relevant business area and quote the following Client ID Number -..." I then emailed CO and this was the reply ....."Thank you for your email. Your application is undergoing routine processing, I will advise you as soon as I am able to finalise your application." Iam frustrated because I supplied all requested info and the longer it takes the likely it is that I and my family will have to go for medicals again and police checks. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long..
  8. OH's medicals were finalised a few days after they were referred (Feb) according to the Health Operations Centre,, but still showing as still referred. I emailed CO a few weeks back and reply was that it was still being processed.
  9. I am soo fed up of waiting. Why do these visas take so long. Surely if one has supplied all required documentation it should be straight forward.. yes or no... I need a new car but then I say to myself what if the visa comes tomorrow.. Hating living in limbo like this.
  10. I am convienced WA SS is currently taking priority over VIC SS. Most visas granted in the past months are WA SS. Just a little theory I have because I checked with the health processing centre and they informed me my oh's medicals were finalised but still no change:confused:
  11. It sounds like they have all they need. I got an email that said the CO did not require any further docs even though I had not uploaded all docs. Iam still waiting though as my OH's medicals were referred over a month ago. Its good your CO has given you a time frame.
  12. Hi Barry, I had my qualifications assessed the in October last year. It took about 8wks, I had to send everything you send but also the module outlines of my degree. As I did not have them anymore I had to order them from my uni. The same woman (Catriona)assessed my qualifications and she was quite helpful. I hope it all goes well and quickly for you.
  13. still waiting!! this is crazy..how much longer? Health centre confirmed oh meds were finalised, why has the status not changed then. may CO is off sick lol...
  14. The initials are SS from Team 4 General Skilled Migration - Adelaide.
  15. :arghh:I really am going dulali with all this referred medicals business. I got so frustrated and decided to email the health operation centre to see whats holding things up. They emailed me telling me the medicals were finalised and they gave me a reference number that I can quote to my CO. I am wondering now whether they were finalised ages ago and the CO has just not worked on my case. I wonder if there is anyone out there having the same experience.
  16. :jiggy: congatulations Dono;;;things can only get better from now..
  17. Congratulations....wow that was fast. No more sleepless nights and obsessing about emails.
  18. I think I wrote something about this in another thread, this what my CO emailed me early feb. Hopefully it helps. "I note that you have completed your health assessments. I would advise that you not complete anything that I have not requested like Health checks and Police Clearance Certificates as they are only valid for one year and this does affect entry dates. Every visa application varies and can take different time frames to complete so please do not send anything other than what has been requested."
  19. Hi there dmcevilly, I applied for a 176 in Jan and just wanted to say I booked for my medicals before the CO was allocated, infact I had my medicals completed on the day I heard from the CO,,,and he asked me to email some of the docs I had uploaded,,,proberly a problem with their system. When I did I also emailed my PCC, he then emailed me stating that I should have waited for him to ask me to have my medicals and PCC. I was a bit miffed to be honest and emailed back telling him that I had done this because the checklist I got after I submitted my application appeared to be asking me to. Anyway I just thought this might be useful..am still waiting for visa at the moment. Hope all goes well for you.
  20. I am the same Dono,,my stress levels are unbearable it seems like I have been waiting forever. I have these weird dreams and wake up and check the DIAC website and my emails only to see no changes. I hope you get yours next week. I feel like by the time all this ends I will need further medicals for my mental state. Rosey
  21. Never in my life has my patience been tested to this level. Oh's results were referred on the 7th of feb and up to now no change on status. i think our friends at diac dont understand what it feels like. This is one of the most expensive test of my patience 2k..
  22. Well I am hoping for a life without fear. My neighbour's car got smashed the other day for no reason, kids in the streets are so disrespectful. I love my job but needs a challenge. I am hoping Aussie will offer a better living environment for my kids.
