  1. hey again! We (me and wife) moved to Australia on 489 provisional visa. I am the primary applicant and she was the subsequent entrant. We both got the same visa and same conditions and will be applying for 887 in mid-April. Before we moved to Australia we were told that only i (being primary applicant) have to meet the live and work visa conditions but i called the immi last week and i was told that both of us have to comply with this condition which has kind of jolted us as she hasn't even worked for 1 year during the last 2 years. Has anyone else been in a similar boat ? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  2. Congrats! Did both of you (you and your partner had to meet the live and work conditions ? Was anyone of you were a subsequent entrant or both were in the intial app when applied for 489 ?
  3. okay so the sponsor doesn't have to be living in the same state or even in the country when i apply for 887 ?
  4. Hi all, I, along with my wife, came to Australia on a family sponsored visa (Brother) around an year ago and currently reside in Victoria which is the same state as my sponsor. Now due to personal and job reasons my brother has to leave Australia for a few years which is going to be before the completion of my 2 years live/work in a state requirement. So i am a bit concerned if this is going to have any effect in my going forward in getting the PR. Does anyone know if this going to be a problem for me down the line because the requirement of moving from 489 to 189/PR is live and work in the same state as the sponsor? Thanks in advance!
  5. blossom79, the screenshot i posted and my question refers to my wife's application where i am trying to add here as an subsequent entrant. I already have the visa and was sponsored by my brother. So, in this case, the question in the application is whether my wife (who is being added as subsequent entrant to my visa) is sponsored by a eligible relative in Australia. Moreover, a migration agent on another forum has this to say: What do you guys think?
  6. Thanks for the reply Maggie but are you sure the about the sponsor thing? Any personal experience?:dull:
  7. it seems no one here had any similar experience or information :-|
  8. anyone with any info on this please? Thanks!
  9. hey all! I have a skilled - Sponsored (Family) 489 visa, got the visa activated but still living outside Australia. I am going to apply for my wife's visa as a subsequent entrant. Firstly, does anyone know if i will have any problems in applying for this visa when i am still living outside Australia? Secondly, while going through the visa application of my wife, i came across the attached page where it asks "Is the applicant sponsored by an eligible relative?" I am confused on this one as i am her sponsor but adding her as an subsequent entrant and in the beginning of application it already asked primary applicant(mine) details like visa grant number, date of birth etc.. Anyone with similar experience or knowledge on this one please? Thanks in advance.
  10. ^ will be getting married in the next 3-4months so not married yet. wanted to clarify all this beforehand. so anyone?
  11. Nicky, I might be mistaken here but isn't that applicable for the "Holders of visa subclasses 495, 496, 475 and 487" ? in my case I am holder of Skilled - subclass 489 visa :-|
  12. ^ yes but upon speaking to the agent I have got completely different info and now I can't even find application for subsequent entrant visa mentioned link provided in post# 2 and do I have to be in the Australia to start her process or I can start it even while being offshore , if its indeed possible to add her?
  13. guys, I spoke to a migration agent a while ago and he told me that since I have Skilled - Sponsored (Family) 489 visa, I can't add my wife to it. It could have been possible only at the time of lodgment of my app. is this true? :-| and do I have to be in the Australia to start her process or I can start it even while being offshore , if its indeed possible to add her? really confusing situation for me here....kindly help.. Thanks!
