  1. Hello guys, I was wondering if you could give me the name of a migration agent in Sydney who posts and helps people on this forum? I've been using this forum as such an amazing resource for information that the least I could do is give my money to a Migration agent who contributes here Thanks a lot! Best regards, Poutou
  2. Thanks dude! yeah it was real hard breaking up after 6 years. We'll see how it goes in oz...
  3. Hello everyone. I'm wondering if somebody could help me with my immigration issue. I applied to a 189 Visa with my girlfriend. I was the primary applicant. She didn't bring any points to my EOI. Since then we have broken up:no: She received an email from our CO requesting our documents to continue the visa application. But it seems she's not intrested in moving to Australia since we broke up. I was wondering if I could send an email to our CO and explain to him that I will be immigrating alone to Australia because we broke up? Or do I have to continue the application with her? Thanks a lot for your help!
  4. Thanks for the info! So there is an official deadline of 2 months or is that only what people are guessing?
  5. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I have a small question I was wondering if someone could help. I have been reading on this forum that we have 2 months to send all the documents to the CO for the 189 visa. Is that correct? What happens if we are late? The problem is that I need a police check from Canada and it might take some time. I was wondering if anybody was "late" sending their documents. Could you share your experience? Thanks a lot!
  6. Oh ok I see thanks... Yeah I submitted my visa application on the 14th of ferbruary but wasn't contacted by a CO. Me too I was wondering if I did something wrong:biglaugh:
  7. Hello guys, where do you upload the documents? I have submitted my skillselect application but I didn't submit any documents. I thought once I had a CO he would ask for documents. I thought we were supposed to have a CO before uploading the documents. Could you help me out? thanks
  8. Yeah I'm english. On the writing and talking part I had no idea why I scored so low. I just had a normal conversation but that was not enough. After my results came I looked on the internet on how the writing and speach part were graded. I seems that on the writing part you have to use some specific vocabulary and underline some key words... WTF? really? And on the talking part it seems like you have to be really active. And I was asked some really stupid questions like "Do you think famous actors are really happy in their lives" Seriously WTF?:ssign2:
  9. The test is not easy. At least that is what I found. I was able to achieve: L:8, R:8, W7, S:7.5. I think there is quite a bit of "luck" involved in the Writing and Speech part. There are some videos that explain how to prepare for it. They're pretty good you should watch them.
  10. Well I think you should be able to score both from DIAC. You get 15 points for a bachelor degree. And 10 points for a job closely related to you ICT occupation. Do you have your ACS skilled assessment?
  11. The pass mark for the 189 is pretty low at the moment. If you are abloe to have 60 points you should be able to get selected pretty fast. Good luck!
  12. Hello, When u say: 2. If I claim for 8 years experience overall on the EOI would this be seen as misleading as it could be construed that I didn't do the exact same duties for that period of time ? even though I was with the same employer/Company Your years of experience have to be closely related to the ANZSCO code you claim experience for. If I was you I wouldn't claim anything that you cannot prove. It seems that DIAC will automatically refuse your visa if they found out. There is another member who received an invitation and got his visa refused because he couldn't prove his experience in a manner that satisfies DIAC. 3. If NSW or DIAC ring the person who signed the reference, then this person works in HR and does not know me well. They would only be able to give out general information about me and not specific details of what I do day to day. Would this be a problem? Also how likely are NSW or DIAC to contact a current employer ? I think there is very little chance that the DIAC contacts your employer if you provide satisfactory documents that prove your employment. Take care, good luck!
  13. Hello, I'm not sure about the category you should apply for. But I think that you should put as much details as possible in your letters. For example: · Exposure to Software development in C, C++, Java etc. · Very good knowledge of C, C++ with Data structure, core Java and oracle 9i. To me it seems kind of vague. From what I understood from the ACS website you have to be extremely detailed in your job description. What do you mean by "exposure" and "very good knowledge". I think maybe you have to explain a bit more what you did. Good luck!
