Hi everyone Please can anyone tell me how to find the State Sponsorship lists that let you know if your trade/skill is in demand in that state.The reason i wish to know this is at the moment i have been told that my trade/skill (PRINTER) is only on the state sponsorship lists for ACT and TAS both these two would not be my first choice to go,so i would like to be able to keep an eye on different states to see if a better option arises. Any information gratefully received. DSCBLHALL.

Hi all,me and my family are thinking of moving to tax,can anyone tell me is there many print factories in the state,I have looked on seek.com but am yet to find any.I find this a little strange as it is on the skills list and I am being offered state sponsorship.Can anyone throw any light on this please.

Please please any advise really don't know what to do for the best.

I have been told by a migration expert that i am able to apply for a 190 visa but the only two states that are sponsoring my profession is ACT or Tas,i must be honest but these two would not be one of my first choices.Please can anyone tell me would i have to stay in either one of these states for two years or could i move elsewhere. For example i am a Printer/supervisor and no matter how hard i search i cannot find a job advertised in either ACT or Tas in my trade,so if this would be the case when i arrive and i exhaust all avenues to try and find work would they then let me move to say Melbourne/Brisbane where there seem to be many jobs in my field or is it a legal obligation to stay in the state that sponsored you. Any advise gratefully received.

Hi All Looks like i am going to have to take IELTS test and at least achieve a 8 in all subjects to get enough points to gain a visa,i am very nervous about doing this as English was never one of my strongest subjects at school and i am now 41 and it has not improved.Can anyone advise me on just how tough it is or maybe even give me some pointers on how to pass this test?

Thanks for your replies,i have booked a telephone consultation with a registered migration agent on Monday and i will definately ask if i can obtain a 489 visa.I think that my family and i would take the risk of going on this visa and try and secure a sponsor for PR. Has anyone applied for this visa? if so how long would it take to get if it is just an extension of a 475? I am also thinking that it may be easier to secure a sponsor if you are actually in Australia rather than trying to do it when you are still in England,can anyone advise please.

Please can anyone out there advise me if it is possible to get an extension on a 475 temp visa.Me and my family were granted it in june 2009,we then validated it in April 2010 it states on the visa that you then have 3 years to live in Australia in which 2 years you have to live in regional Australia and have to of worked for 1 of them.This would now mean that my visa will expire in april 2013,i have looked on the Australia goverment site and it states that you can get an extension but it is up to a maximum of 4 years from date that visa was first granted so that would only take us up to June 2013.Me,my wife and family are desperate to move to OZ but i feel we may have missed the boat as i am now 42 and have now lost more points on age,if i were to reaply for a new visa i would have to score all 8,s on the ielts test and that then would only entitle us to move to ACT or Tasmania.I have phoned Australia House in London but cant seem to get a clear answer from them.Is there anyone that can advise us.PLEASE:cry:
