Caz Brady
Just an update on the en-suite. I woke up this morning - one wall has started to peel  Hiya just consulted the hubby and he says that you'll have to scrape off the paint and don't use the en suite for a couple of days to let it dry out properly then use a damp proof paint. Hope this helps!

Thanks for that Caz, I will give it go and let you know how I get on. On a more positive note, I have nearly finished the upstairs bathroom  Only another 6 rooms and hall, stairs and landing to go!!! However, passports photos for all at weekend, then countersignature at weekend too, then wooohooooo, appointment at Australia House to apply for my Aus passport and once I have got all the passports sorted, can apply for the Spouse visa for the hubby and kids  xx

SaffanZimbo
Bought our "new-ish" car to take with next year. We now can plan for our move any time after 9 June 2014. Very sad that we are in the process of selling my beloved VW Golf but can't afford to take two cars with us.... and can't afford to run three cars till we go either. Next on the list is a massive sale of old toys, child car seats, children's clothing and anything else in the loft which won't be going with.... just need to decide whether to sell on Facebook / Gumtree or ebay (not a fan of ebay..) MovingtoTasmania
I have completely re-decorated the upstairs bathroom, it looks like a different room! Got the passport forms filled out, the passport photos done, booked an estate agent to come and see the house on Saturday, had the boiler serviced, and have decided to start the hall, stairs and landing as that is the biggest job for me. Being a lazy beast, I couldn't be bothered with selling anything. I give all the unwanted/too young toys to the baby next door, and put the clothes into the charity shop at the end of the street. Along with anything else I don't want - I've even given them duvets before!
MovingtoTasmania
Have you tackled the en suite again yet? Let me know how it goes! OMG Caz. Each day, more paint is starting to crack and peel . I've decided to leave it now and get on with the rest of the house, otherwise at this rate, I will be spending all my time just in there!! I think once it's all cracked and peeled, I will strip it back to bare plaster as your OH advised and re-start. The upstairs bathroom looks good though lol. w1johnston
Finally got a date for my technical interview which will be in a couple of weeks. Just wish we could have been at this stage 2 months ago and been in a position to avoid the new visa application charges. Oh well, what will be, will be. Guest The Ropey HOFF
Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong, Under the shade of a Coolibah tree, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boil, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me, And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boil You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. .................... Down came a jumbuck to drink at that billabong Up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee, And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me, And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. ..................... Up rode the squatter mounted on his thorough-bred Down came the troopers One Two Three Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda Waltzing Matilda You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker-bag You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. ...................... Up jumped the swagman sprang in to the billabong You'll never catch me alive said he, And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. Waltzing Matilda Waltzing Matilda You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me. ....................... I have been doing this to my house for the last 18 months, fully decorated top to bottom, new carpets, new furniture, done the gardens, it looks like a show house and I have done it all without the wife realising it. She said the other day, the house is really lovely and I said, hopefully it will sell quickly when we go to Oz. She gave me that look, only a wife can give her husband, lol.
