Eddie2010 Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Thank you ;0) - My footer always said patiently wait 18 - 24 months as that was the official DIAC waiting time for CAT3 (Now Cat 4) when I lodged my application in Dec 2010 - so 8 months which is what it turned out to be is AMAZING !! Officially a Permanent Resident now :cute: Got the email today (22/08). I still have my second medical appointment scheduled for tomorrow, the case officer didn't even ask for my medicals and approved my application. Though I think what might have happened was that I gave a medical in April/May last year for my student visa, CO might have put in that (even though it's expired)? My 885 was granted yesterday as well (22/08/11) it took my CO less than a month to grant a visa that was lodged almost 2 years ago (tomorrow is my second “lodgment anniversary”). I will keep posting any info I have from the “inside” of the industry, but we can now see how (at least the Brisbane Office) is catching up with us the old dinosaurs.
