Our agent says that that means that it is send over to a 'medical officer of the Commonwealth’ because something may be wrong or unclear. mandymark Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Mine were referred for a couple of days, but I expected it as I had an existing medical condition and took Specialist letters with me. Do either or both of you have anything at all that you think may be the reason.....diabetes, asthma, anything? If not, if I were you I think I would contact your panel Dr and ask the clinic if all the results were ok. They should tell you if there was anything that they had to comment on. My condition is linked to a raised risk of developing renal cell cancer and I am scanned annually so I was expecting mine to be referred. I was really worried that I wouldnt even get through the medicals as I know that MRI scanning etc can be expensive, but within a couple of days mine changed to 'met' with no further questions asked. I had epilepsy as a child,last seizure 15 years ago, EEG normal, low maintenance meds and they still referred mine...:skeptical: Good luck! Hope you get some answers soon! Well Well Well i think there are more than one Electrical Engineer here that sound good for me :biggrin: and that may be a good way in sharing experience when we settle in OZ , i am working in Construction Field if anybody interisted to know. For me everything turned to met except the medicals it were turned to received from 28 November 2011 so i dont know if there is anything else missing or i shall wait till furthur notice:mad:. Hi E.Prince, I did apply for some suitable openings thru seek.com and have always received the reply from employers that you do not have the right to work in Oz at the moment and we are not in a position to sponsor your visa, do let us know when you get the visa!!! This kinda response was turning me :mad: so I now stopped applying and just focussing on getting the PR..Let s hope for the best... right now I am just praying to get CO and god willing everything should go smooth for me and for all the visa seekers!! Guest Egyptian Prince Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 I guess it depends, every case is different and it's difficult to respond with so little information.Have you visited/lived in any high risk countries in the last 10 years? born in a high risk country? only your CO will know the answer. some people from HR backgrounds wait up to a year to complete background checks. If you have not lived/worked/visited ant HR countries, then maybe you should ask CO. I would like to ask when external check started? either before asking for medicals and PCC or after that? coz i read in another thread that once they ask for medical and PCC so external check already done. My CO told me they are doing "external checks". Does anyone know what that means? A Thanks all for your advice and support Just called the clinic, and the doctor says blood tests were fine too. It may be because of some hearing loss that I have in one ear.
