TraxFM
You should see the dianosaurs in cat 5, i am there right from August 2007 so is VB. I know we were in cat 5 for 2 years until July of this year when the rules changed. Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer as it looks like they are getting through the other categories at quite a good speed! Fingers crossed for you :wubclub:

Bpremji
Guys, Had my meds this morning, anyone who is in the Midlands area of the UK I can highly recommend the Spire Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. Had our appointment at 9am (4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, aged 5 and 1), we had Dr Khan, who made my 5 year old feel really comfortable. We were all done by 11am. Cost was slightly more than Handsworth but you did get free parking directly outside and what looked like a brand new clinic, paid £760.50 in all. Thats us pretty much all done, hopefully the results will come back at met quickly and a Case Officer will pick up the file before the end of the year. Bpremji
I think the update on Mon/Tue will be a good indicator, I think they will move forward a month so will show a date at the end of March or beginning of April. I read on another thread that someone got a 457 granted on a Saturday so they may even be working weekends The only thing that can slow them down is the Christmas break otherwise I think their aim is to probably be up until July 2011 by the end of this calendar year. Would be good to hear others opinions too........... Fingers crossed for you, I think they will have nearly cleared cat 4 by end Dec what do you think. taniaholmes
I know I should start a new thread but was hoping maybe someone here could help, as you all know we have our visa granted, my oldest son is 19 this December and has been dating his girlfriend for some time now and really feel sad that I am splitting them up so I have been doing some research to see if their are any options as she is not 18 for 18 months so I have found that their is a visa for Student under 18 years of age if she can get Parental permission here are the details below so if I am reading this correctly we could be her legal custodian can any one comment If you are under 18 years of age, your parents and/or anyone who can legally decide where you can live must give permission for you to study in Australia. Accommodation and welfare arrangements If you are under 18 years of age, you must have acceptable arrangements for your accommodation, support and general welfare for the duration of your student visa or until you turn 18 (whichever happens first). You must show that you will either: live in Australia with your parent or legal custodian live in Australia with a relative over 21 years of age who is nominated by your parent or legal custodian live in Australia under a welfare arrangement that has been approved by your education provider. Thanks Tania

TraxFM
Hi Tania I would say that yes you could become her legal custodian but you would probably need her parents permission to do this so if you dont think they will let her go it's a tough one. Good luck :wubclub:

xenos1987
Hey Tania, I assume you are talking about getting a visa label from the Brisbane office? The counter hours are 9-4pm. Make sure that you go as early as possible. There is usually a long queue. They have two separate queues - one for visa labels, the other for visa lodgement, inquiries, etc. Hope this helps Btw, congrats on getting your visa...all the best xxx On another note, latest processing update: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm
