Along with this email is the attachment of the said DIAC email that we receive since monday. Does it mean that DIAC also sent out exclusive email to cat 5 minus processing times?

What's the difference?

Our daughter hasn't received an email yet. She applied in Oct 2008, offshore, family sponsored 475 visa as marketing specialist.

Is anyone else from 2008 still waiting. Just trying to work out the order (if any) they are being sent. Her surname starts with B so it obviously isn't alphabetical.

Cheers, Kazza

May be they will cap and cease remaining 2007 applicants.I hope this will never happen.

dont lose hope.. im from april 2008 176 family sponsored and i get the letter on tuesday afternoon....

personally i dont think this leeter mean a lot.... except the fact that for sure something will happen soon.... and for the first time I get a letter from Diac without asking for it!!!!

its also clearly stated in the letter............Once commenced, processing of priority group 5 applications will take place in date of lodgment order, after all applications of a higher priority have been allocated for assessment.

so u will be the first to get processed!!!!! or may be they have another letter for u... saying please MR bawja send us ur medical and stuff!!!!! lolol... who knows!!!

was your application an online one or a paper application?

we haven't received it either(paper, June 2009, Family Sponsored, Offshore), wondering whether only online applicants are receiving the email at the moment

Hi auzzycrazzy.

She was an online application. It's wonderful that they are finally making contact but, at the same time so frustrating that there doesn't seem to be any logic to it. Though, I suppose there has been no logic to anything DIAC have done in the past 2-3 years :biglaugh:

latest cat 4 (prev cat 3) visa grant on PIO

Date of visa application: september 2, 2010

so we need to wait til its up to August 2011? I think there will be less and less CAT 4 applicants when they start to process January 2011 apps due to changes. So most likely within this year, we will hear first CO allocation from CAT 5

fingers crossed
