Guest Shimmer Girl
Ok... bit of info regarding above concern...When I went through the comlaw site found following in the point test amendments; 6C72 met the requirements for: (a) the award of at least a bachelor degree by an Australian educational institution; or (b) the award of at least a bachelor degree by another educational institution, that the Minister is satisfied is of a recognised standard 6C76 For items 6C71 and 6C72, the Minister must have regard to the following matters for the purpose of being satisfied that a qualification is of a recognised standard: (a) whether the qualification has been recognised by the relevant assessing authority for the applicant’s nominated skilled occupation as being suitable for the occupation; I hope Alan or some agent could shed some light on this concern... This came into my mind after reading following twitter post, company called iscah migration already warned that diploma then masters degree won't be able to claim 15 points! iscahmigration Iscah New points test for 1st July 2011 - Diploma then Masters will not get 15 points. Piewie
I notice that there is no distinction made between the two different types of IELTS test, academic or general, all my points range between 8 an 9 on a General Training Test. Does this give me the required 20. I would be applying for a trade associated skilled migration.
SteveGB
Those results in the general test will get you the 20 points
Hmachanick
Hi all Sorry to butt in on this conversation, but I hoping you may have some advice for us on applying for our visa. We are currently awaiting our skills assessment and IELTS results, BUT don't think they will come through before the visa changes in July. As I am hoping to save money before the prices go up - do you think its worth submitting our application now (and would we be able to with our IELTS and skills assessment?) - so we can take advantage of the current prices? Any help would be great!:err:
Alan Collett
Not possible - no skills assessment result means your visa application would be invalid. Best regards.

AaronS
Hey all. Long time lurker, sometimes poster. Relieved that the points test has been released but was wondering if anyone had any info on if the SS jobs for WA has changed. I've done some digging to try and find something but haven't turned up anything. Does anyone have any information on if they will change? I'm hoping Supply Chain Management doesn't drop off!
