Hurray Freebo Congratulations you are in BLUE!!!!!

Thanks VM, it hasn't really sunk in yet, I'm not sure why I got approved and the guys who also have good experience didn't (I have 23 years experience, 19 of which specifically in my field).

I can only guess it was down the panels assessment of individual specialism shortages in the local market and after yesterday was fully expecting the same result as bagonzo & grant.

Need to go take some deep breaths - will be back soon!

It seems very odd to me that often the experienced people don't get in - I wonder if they have some sort of age preference?

Seems to me you should be able to show that you have thoroughly investigated a move to Victoria and haopefully they will realise that once you put in your appeal.

Plus if you have been teaching you can show you have the ability to pass these skills onto other Australians...

I agree it all seems quite strange.

Good luck with the appeal Bagonzo

Fingers still crossed Koroleva, Freebo and Suni - looks like they are on an IT phase hoping you get positive replies soon.

Now I have lost all hope reading about the rejects for IT profs from other threads aswell.

Also I am planning for QLD SS as a backup, but my first preference would still be with VIC.

From the other threads it does not appear that the other states actually pick and choose whether they approve you or not. If you are on their skills in demand list and have the qualification to match you seem to be approved.

But maybe no news is good news as far as Victoria is concerned. The other week Vinnie and Senorita heard they were rejected before Victoria contacted Bebac and myself were contacted...

Grant and Bagonzo got negative replies at the beginning of this week... Now Freebo a positive...

So maybe (pure speculation/hope) they go through the rejections first...

Keep your hopes up I am sure you will be hearing soon.

Hi Guys,

Had email from agent this morning stating that Vic want a more detailed CV ( The usual ) luckily we had all ready done one after submission ready in case they asked!! Hopefully this is not the road to rejection!!!!

But we are trying another option as well with employer sponsorship as we know soneone who has said they will employ him over there so fingers crossed!!

Good luck with the expanded CV - we have seen some where they did not even bother asking for a expanded CV so hopefully it means they just want more clarification.

Really pleased to hear you have another potential option of ENS - I think even if the 176 progresses the ENS provides a faster route and is well worth looking at as you also get a job to go to. Fingers crossed.

Koroleva,

You are 2231-79 Linux no? If so you are CSL and therefore P4 in the priority list and the current estimate is "expect to be finalised within 12 months" Right now they are doing 175/CSL's for May - so hopefully you have not long to wait?

Or have I got this all wrong

I recommend you go out and do something fun - the wait to hear back may take a while. After falling apart a bit on the 23rd Sept - we went out the next night to do something fun it helped a lot to try and take my mind off it.

Hi,

I originally applied for a 175 Visa on 5th May and got my IELTS results 15/07/09. I have added my timeline to the Poms in Oz thread and this includes medical and police check dates. It has been a stressful journey (agents ceased trading twice so we decided to do the rest ourselves - much better!)

Great! Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully everyone else will get their visa soon. They seem to be working quickly.

Dear Allany,

What a good news for you!Congrats! I thought you are the CSL and SS sponsored applicant, aren't you? Please indicate it as it would be helpful for many applicants regarding the timeframes. Many thanks!

Not sure when you are intending to go - but hope your plans run more somoothly than all this!

Its good to know that they are speeding through the CSL SS guys - I think they are at June now. I am assuming that is priority 3 - I wonder when they will get to the priority 4 people.

 Oh no just seen that SS CSL is priority 2 - we still have 3 and 4 to wait for... I assume 3 is relatively small - but 4 may be big? Oh well back to

Hi All

Just to let you know that Kelly has started a new thread that will have a timeline for folks in the priority 1-4 levels. Being Priority 5 myself I am so eager to know how things are progressing on that side of the priorities I hope that people will consider joining so thought I'd give it a plug.

http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/71250-priority-processing-groups-1-4-where-u-now.html#post603606

Ok Guys....After being 'pushed into it'.....

I have started a new thread, link below:

Priority Processing Groups 1-4..Where are U now?

I hope that it will provide help to those in all Priority groups.....
