Bobj
Snapper Ban . Any one else heard of the possable ban ,on catching . Not heard about amateurs and bans, just that there was a plan mooted for commercial bans. SA and WA have seasonal no snapper fishing while they are breeding. Cheers, Bobj. Bobj
Slimey buggers eddie but they're bloody good chewin' kev You joking, Kev??? In the north of Qld and the Northern Territory they are considered a 'minus' fish. Over in WA they are called cobbler. All right, I suppose, IF you are dying... A far better catfish to eat is the eel tailed cattie, tandanus tandanus but that is only a freshwater fish. Good pic, Eddie. Cheers, Bobj. Bobj
One very nice mackerel tuna, mate. Great little speedsters, hey? They make excellent cube baits for big snapper and red emperors. Cheers, Bobj.

Good pic, Eddie. Cheers, Bobj. Yes Bob. They're great eating...........got a bad reputation because of the slime and the fact that they show up when you're looking to catch something else. Grant's fish encyclopeadia is considered the "bible" and even he puts them down as "excellent" eating with firm white flesh. In the past, I've targetted 'em specifically 'cause the missus loves 'em. Eaten the eel tail too and I agree, they're nice chewin'
