Isn't the reason for suspending citizenships just due to the physical ceremonies posing a public health risk? https://www.sbs.com.au/language/english/australian-citizenship-ceremonies-cancelled-because-of-coronavirus-risk Surely this does not imply visas will be suspended. There is no need to gather in a large group to be granted a visa.
Sir Dancealot
I'd like to provide some good news which should also mean some hope for those who commented above. Our visa nomination was approved this morning and our visa was approved this afternoon. See details in my signature block. Visas are being processed and it appears at a good pace. The happiness and joy have not yet set in. I am just incredibly relieved as last week, my company laid off a large number of employees and things are far from secure. We were faced with the very real possibility of me being laid off before the visa was approved, which may have resulted in us having to leave a country we have been living in since 2010. It's been an unbelievably stressful time with Visas the past 10 years, none more so than the past week. I'd like to say that I'm so very thankful for Pomsinnoz and all the people that contribute valuably to this resource. I'll be forever grateful for the advice and information contained within these forums. Respect and much love to you all and I hope that all your visas get approved soon and this virus disappears as quickly as it arrived. Time to have a drink in isolation and let this all sink in. Cheers, Sláinte, Salud, Salute, Proost, Santé, Skol etc Peace Sean
