Congrats!  Could you see this in your Immi account?

No I haven’t had access to it, all handled by my immigration agent (who works for my employer). I’ve only heard through them and they usually download the notifications and email them to me.

Hi all,

Any grants for general accountant lately?

I’ve recently applied for 186 TRT under general accountant:

Nomination and application lodged: 22 January 2021

Applicants: 2 onshore

State: VIC

Health Check: Cleared 9 March 2021

Status: Nomination - finalised, Visa - further assessment

Can anyone provide any more information on further assessment, can it be stuck on further assessment for a long time or do any of the long timers have a general estimate of how long it would be stuck on this phase before a grant?

thanks in advance!

Your nomination was real quick. Did you apply both together? I have done the same on 27th July. No update for nomination as well. Not sure whether it has something to do with applications from Vic? I have seen most applications progressing are from victoria. This immigration does not have any clarification of how they work. I got an offshore applicant too. That could be another scenario but I believe that has nothing to do with nomination.

I think the offshore might have something to do with it, I have read they are prioritising onshore with borders closed.

Yes nomination was super quick, seems a bit strange that your nomination isn’t cleared as I don’t see how offshore would impact that?

Thank you for your response. Do you have a CFO above you?

I heard most of the nomination got rejected for this reason. Just wanted to know if you have or not?

Mine got rejected due to CFO reason only in 2019 case officer mentioned company doesn't need accountant and its over 15 million turnover. I applied for AAT same time hoping file opens soon with positive outcome. Currently looking for agent who can handle these type of cases really frustrated 😞 with the process.

Micgeo I can’t believe you visa is till not granted. They asked you for “position availability” ages ago.

My Chef colleague had applied September 2019 and they just called our director 2 weeks ago asking if he is still employed and literally 1 hour later he got his PR granted.I’m same company as restaurant manager and mine file isn’t opened yet.

I feel like re applying might get lucky this time with nomination and visa since they are opening quicker with positive outcome but the amount money is horrendous.

NEED GUIDANCE SHOULD I WAIT AAT TO OPEN OR REAPPLY OR GO BACK HOME FOR GOOD.

The question is, are you confident that your employer can made a very strong case to present to AAT, to prove that they need you?

My employer has been extremely supportive and director will go to aat office if needed. All I need is good lawyer now to prepare for AAT if it ever opens up.

@aa192 still well within the waiting / processing times. Suspect there'll still be some wait here.

Hi Guys and Girls,

I applied for DE on the 4th November 2020, I'm onshore and waiting for some news. I was wondering if anyone knows what the waiting time was supposed to be when I applied? I presume the current 75% in 3 months and 90% in 6 months is for people that applied last month so not relevant to me? Or am I wrong about that? Is there any way to find out historical waiting times?

Thanks!
