I feel medical has more buffer compared to AFP. I have done booth medical and AFP end of Dec 2016, applied nomination and visa in May 2017, nomination approved on March 28th 2018, the CO has requested a new AFP for the visa but not the medical certificate.
I definitely suggest you apply a new AFP if it’s already expired

Phew that’s a relief! Thanks for the info, yeah will defo get a AFP straight away. At least that’s simple and relatively cheap!

They have updated the average processing time:

DE: Between 8 to 13 months

TRT:Between 8 to 11 months...

I wish these time frames were accurate... It's been 16 months for me today... :( (DE)

So they owe us 3 months of our lives back!

Have you or your MA try contact immi officer as you are over the estimated process time?

We both contacted them.

I called them few weeks ago and they told me that there was no officer allocated to my application.

My MA contacted them by email and he got no answers...

:(:(:(

Hi Totto.

I received my new police check today and have sent it off. I believe my medical results are with them now (awaiting confirmation), but other than that I have had no word from them. I have asked my MA for an update. Hoping to hear back soon. As soon as I do I will update on here. Any news for you?

I asked my MA to contact the department as the processing times have dropped to 13 months tops. They replied that

"

Please note, the following message provided by the Department of Immigration’s Permanent Employer Sponsorship section:

“No response will be provided to enquiries in relation to an application status update, processing timeframes, pre-lodgement or non-PESE related matters”

If you would like to see a copy of the message, please send a blank email to nsw.pse@homeaffairs.gov.au. You will receive an automated response with information about Subclass 186 processing.

The automated response will also provide information about which applications are currently being processed. As of today, the section is processing applications lodged between June 2016 to March 2017."

So they consider it's not a good Idea to contact them yet as all the information is there. But it seems my application is in limbo and this is very stressful as the status is still "Received" On the 23rd it will be 15 months waiting

Are you onshore or offshore? What is your occupation? LR or HR country?

Keep on hanging on! Marketing specialists are having an unprecedented approval rate right now!

It makes this waiting period even more difficult...
It becomes difficult to be happy for others when you have waited much more time...
Yes sorry guys [emoji5]
It seems that the more you wait the more you're gonna wait...
I can't see the end right now...[emoji848]
