What difference does it make to economy? Except if they are offshore and waiting for visa before coming to Aus, then I understand fast tracking required occupations. #stupidsystem It's simple, some occupations are more critical than others and I'm sure they take that into consideration. If you were a CO and had to choose between assessing a doctor's application and a hairdresser's that applied on the same day, would really pick the latter or even leave it to chance?

Yeah have to agree this. Says on the website they will adjust processing to meet criticial needs so doctors and so on will understandably be fast tracked. You can even see it in on the very rudimentary spreadsheet we have! Engineers, teachers, doctors and ICT for the most part seem to get processed quickly. Cant really argue with that either. I would do the same!

Fair enough if they applied on same day! but as we all know there is sometimes cases when someone has to wait a year longer! My point is the occupations are already filled by the applicant, they’re here working in that occupation already so why need to fast track? It is what is I know, just saying

If you read in other forum or even the spreadsheet, doctors got approved really quick like 1-3 months? While others wait for up to 2 years. ring3018
Hi guys, May I ask, is there are regulation stated that if the owner works in the business, that means the owner will decide any core decisions within the business as well therefore the case officer will refuse the case. As there are 2 refused nominations without requesting any further documents I think with the same case officer. If anyone can find the rule please let me know, if they got refused by financial reasons, training benchmarks, salary,... I can understand. So in other to sponsor, the owner can't work? Quote My nomination got refused as a Restaurant manager after 17 months of waiting period in south australia.Reason from immi: Since the owner is involved in the restaurant and he is responsible and taking all the big decisions so this restaurant doesn’t need a manager. Immi claimed that applicant is a day to day manager which doesn’t meet the requirement of being a manager. Quote The case officer refused without asking for further information and he based his decision on the assumption that the owner works at the shop (not true) and therefore I am not a manager but only a supervisor as the owner as the final decision on important matters of the business such as product mix, pricing, marketing and budgeting (so he thinks). This information does not appear in any document. We were very careful and the organisation chart clearly shows I am the person in charge. My job description is completely in line with all the duties of a retail manager but for some reason, the case officer believes that the owner is present at the shop part-time (can't explain why). My only doubt is that my employer signed all the documentation with the title "director" (it is a company after all with 2 investors) and that might have misled the case officer. Rather than this, we have received no phone calls and no inspections. My employer has said that he wants to appeal. We have so much evidence already collected that proves he does not cover the above functions but it is only me. That shop was at a loss when I came thanks to the incompetence of the previous manager and in less than a year I made it profitable by implementing a different strategy and a shop transformation. It is so unfair!

They did sponsor someone in 2016 and the person got PR in six months but what worries me is that now we have a smaller team, I don't know if that affects the nomination, as we are restructuring the company

Better to have them to hand as soon as they ask, if they don't ask then you lose a few hundred dollars but time is more valuable. There are so many people in the same situation so please try not to worry too much. I do understand too how worrying it is. They cant simply refuse your application if everything is submitted and legit. I believe you will hear from them soon, be prepared, that is the best advice I can give you...Be ready with everything! Try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Take care and best of luck. Hi ,was wondering if you have any updates? Have you received an approval yet? I received my new police check today and have sent it off. I believe my medical results are with them now (awaiting confirmation), but other than that I have had no word from them. I have asked my MA for an update. Hoping to hear back soon. As soon as I do I will update on here. Any news for you?
