Hi Guys,

finally I have had the chance to speek  with my MA (she is never available).

I asked her if we'll need to do again the Australian Federal Police checks, because it will expired soon.

She said that I should do a new one as soon as possible even if, until now, I haven't a CO looking into our Appilcation...

Finger crossed ?? for everyone.

Hi guys,

Just want to clarify if for visa 186 DE, do we need to do a Labour Market Testing. I cannot see this requirement on the Immi Doc Check List (their website) but some people said that they did it for their visa.

Asked my MA but he has not replied yet.

Confused !!!

Hi,

I received my PR yesterday, this is a big relief, and I can certainly feel for the people having waited 1 year or more !

Occupation: ICT Business analyst

Visa Type: 186 ENS Direct Stream Onshore

Country: Low Risk

Visa/nomination lodged: 03/11/2017

Visa granted: 10/04/2018

I am convinced that the sponsor and complete applications influence the priorities.

No, nothing, or nothing that I am aware of. My employer has its own immigration department with dedicated lawyers dealing with the employees visas. Some documents might have been provided without my knowledge but I doubt it.

If you don't mind me asking - what about the sponsor are you convinced influences the priorities?

Congrats! In your case it will be your occupation mate. If you look at the spreadsheet, ICT is on a permanent fast track at the moment. Great for you! Enjoy buddy

Big company in Australia, with an established name worldwide, so my guess is that in terms of risk management, the risk is certainly lower with a well and established company than with a 10 persons company. For the immigration, it's all about making sure that the migrant will not have a negative impact on the finance of Australia (hence the medicals - no immediate impact on medicare, skills assessment, etc).

But I might be wrong...

Based on my on what I observe from this forum, I believe here is some kind of guidelines how the COs process the application. I think they process the appllications based on:

1st Occupation

2nd The time the application is submitted

3rd Visa Stream, whether it be DE or TRT but most of the time TRTs are more prioritized

4th,5th and so on Country Assessment, No of Applicants etc which I think are not so important compare to the first 3.

I think so too, especially the occupation such as doctors, GP, ... any occupations on ANZSCO 1 will be faster than ANZSCO 2 (chef, managers...), or 3 (cooks, bakers...).

Sure, in that sense I’d say it’s more a case of ‘is employer already approved to sponsor’ or not though, to be honest.

Agreed, for an applicant whose employer must apply to sponsor before nominating/at the same time as attempting a nomination, or are smaller and have little history with DIPB, the application could and should be scrutinised more closely.

You might have been getting in to pointy territory if it had been a claim of ‘first-come/first-served’ based on some sort of corporate favouritism lol.

Im not sure if its on skill level either. Marketing specialist for example is skill 1 but they in no way get the same treatment and probably rightly so as GP's, scientists and so on.

Yeah but I'm sure that still marketing specialists still process faster than other occupation like chefs or managers (who waits probably more than 20 months in 187 forum).

Not really... It's been 16 months for me... And my company is not small at all... sponsored a lot of people in the past... My application should be complete...(I have a MA) and I've been living in Australia since a couple of years.... :) So I'm not sure that this occupation is processed faster

Your occupation is not high risks like managers, you will be fine.

References why I think it's based on occupation:

Maybe... but It doesn't make the process faster... LOL

Hi,

if we read the previous post we can notice That there is a different waiting time between the skills level 1,2,3...

...But all the people in this form applied with the 186 Visa and the processing time for the 187 is different (17-20 months) For this reason they'll need to wait longer.

I hope it make sense.

I disagree that’s it right to prioritise certain occupations for 186, even if they are a doctor, etc cos at the end of the day we are all in Aus and working for our sponsoring employer, so why fast track? What difference does it make to economy? Except if they are offshore and waiting for visa before coming to Aus, then I understand fast tracking required occupations. #stupidsystem
