Thevans15
Hi All, Have any of you used an agency for the immigration process?? I've just got off the phone from Go Matilda, fella sounded lovely and gave me lots of info, however price is a concern, I know its not going to be for free but just want to know if its an ok price (£2220) or is it just as "easy" if you'd call it that and do the whole process yourself?? Visa Fee is £4300.00, TRA Fee $1000, IELTS Fee £140.00 Also why do some web sites and some TV programmes say your trade is needed in Aus, only to find out your not that much in demand and struggle for work??? Is it like the UK 1 post and 40 to 80 people apply for post!
VERYSTORMY
Go Matilda are one of the most respected agents. The fee for a case does vary by case according to the particular circumstances, but is certainly within normal range. Trades and occupation job opportunities vary - some are in demand and some are not. You should not assume that because an occupation is available on one of the lists, that there is actually demand for that occupation. You need to research that yourself
Que Sera Sera
I used Go Matilda and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. Some jobs are more in demand than others and yes there can be lots of interest in positions .
maisiedaisy
We are also using Go Matilda and would have no hesitation in recommending them, very happy with their services.
Simonr
We used Ian Harrop. We contacted a few, including Go Matilda. Prices were all pretty similar, but just got a good feeling about Ian Harrops. I would certainly recommend them. You could try doing it yourself, but sometimes it's less stressful having people help that know the system
JEM44
I did the whole thing myself, it was simple enough to do. Just do your homework. There's enough advice on here for each step of the way. It was probably quicker too because I wasn't waiting on anyone but myself.
xxlornaxx
i did mine myself too, requires lots of homework but i felt it was better and quicker as cut out middle man, cheaper too..depends if you have the money to spare i guess, may be less stress to let someone else manage it. Ozmaniac
@Alan Collett from Go Matilda posted the other day that Ian Harrop is now part of the Go Matilda team in the UK.
ali
Agents come into their own and are worth their weight in gold if your application is a complicated or that you feel uncertain. If your application is straight forward then you can do it yourself.
benj1980
@Alan Collett from Go Matilda posted the other day that Ian Harrop is now part of the Go Matilda team in the UK. Really? I'm currently in the process with Ian Harrop and had no idea?
VERYSTORMY
Really? I'm currently in the process with Ian Harrop and had no idea? Then you are lucky, as you now have two of the best agents available to your case!
Alan Collett
Really? I'm currently in the process with Ian Harrop and had no idea? To clarify: Ian Harrop Associates is not the same as Ian Harrop the migration agent. My understanding is that IHA is managed by OE Visas in Edinburgh. Best regards.
