dmjg
What's a lucky dip ticket? All names in a basket and the first 5 drawn out get the last 5 seats under the eaves whilst everyone else is told to go home?

Petals
I am of their era and I do not want to go and see them, so why would younger people want to. I saw them when they were young but I do not need to be reminded of how old we are now lol
Guest Guest66881
I like them but will not be going, i posted to gauge people thoughts on such silly prices.
Si T
My youngest brother is a professional violinist who is hoping to release his first album in the middle of next year. Although he loves classical music most of his work is in more upbeat stuff and covers of songs such as Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. He only this morning sent me a link to the video he shot for his cover of The Rolling Stones' Wild horses. He has asked me to keep the link to myself until he has seen the finished video (he is at sea doing some cruise shows at the moment with poor wifi) but once he gives me the nod I will post the link so any of you Stones fans can judge. He is visiting us in Perth over Christmas and is in the middle of seven months straight of cruises around this part of the world. Would have been nice to see him put on a show while he was here but don't think it would be able to be organised. Cheers Si
dmjg
I like them but will not be going, i posted to gauge people thoughts on such silly prices. Im sure the concerts will all be sold out, so enough people are prepared to pay the silly prices for the 'privilege' of seeing them live. Personally I don't get it, nor could I justify the expense. Bibbs
Got 4 tix to Adelaide, before they announced the other dates. Will meet up with some friends flying in from NZ and make a weekend of it. Prices? Meh, if you want to see the big bands it'll always be that ball park area for prices. Least they shouldn't be like Roger Walters banging on about 'capitalism is bad' while charging a couple of hundred a ticket.

ramot
I am sadly old enough to admit going to Eel Pie Island where the Rolling Stones played in the early 60's as well as so many more groups, but what memories. It was such an exciting time and a lot cheaper to see them then.

Wait for Billy Bragg to come out and give a series of free concerts perhaps? But personally, I would rather see a good Stones tribute band. At least he has kept his principles over the years.
Alnaibii
They have been in Bucharest 6 years back. Prices were between 30$ and 250$. They are like wine, the older, the more expensive.

At least he has kept his principles over the years. How does a pop star keep to his or her principles when he makes it big and becomes rich? Vote Labour? Call himself a socialist, despite being a millionaire and living in a mansion? Groups like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were all ripped off by Harold Wilson's socialist government in the 1960's. (Take a listen to 'Taxman' for instance!) zk2102
Wouldn't get out of bed to see the Stones now days. The price of their tickets here for the O2 and Hyde Park started at over £500. We watched their performance at Glasto on tv this summer and found it embarassing TBH. Micks voice is shot and the rest look old and scary. BTW I love the back catalogue, but it sounds a lot better played through personal media than them playing live these days. Just my opinion. Bibbs
Funnily enough even anti capitalists need to eat. Yeah, cause the royalties from 'dark side of the moon' (45 million sales) and 'the wall' (30 million) must be difficult to live on.
MARYROSE02
Yeah, cause the royalties from 'dark side of the moon' (45 million sales) and 'the wall' (30 million) must be difficult to live on. The anti-capitalist pop stars and the capitalist pop stars usually live in the same streets, in the same mansions, but on opposite sides, ironically enough, the capitalists on the left hand side, and and the anti's on the right!
