More Bad EU News for the UK

Sources from the emergency EU Finance Ministers meeting reveal more bad EU news for the UK. Apparently, in a desperate bid to avoid having to levy a bailout tax on their bank deposits, Cypriot Finance Minister, Ms Lirpa L'Oof has agreed to an EU dictat from the "Geldmeisters" to harmonise traffic in her small island, and from Monday week, all traffic in Cyprus must drive on the right, not the left as now.

This dictat must be obeyed by midday on that date.

This has had devastating consequences for the UK, as with over 60,000 UK pensioners in Cyprus, to avoid UK pensioners being affected, the UK government has also had to agree to comply, although due to the residual strength of sterling a partial opt out was agreed whereby the dictat will only apply to PSV vehicles, buses, coaches etc., lorries, and what the EU refer to as "large diesel cars" from Monday week, whereas small family saloons will have until 1/4/2017 to comply.

As a further concession, hybrid vehicles will be exempted altogether.
