Hello guys, please excuse me I don't think this is the right place to post this question, but I can't find anywhere else relevant..

Can anyone tell me if a Disclosure certificate from the Disclosure Scotland website constitutes as a criminal background check?

If not, can anyone shed any light on where I can go to apply for one?

I am ready to lodge my partner visa and just need my police check.

Thanks in advance

Dan

hi Dan,

You check on the following link to identify which authority you need to contact to get the police report in Scotland.

Please follow the Penal clearance requirements section in following link.

http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/character-requirements/

hope this will help you.

Hi Dan

That is the exact form that we submitted, way back in November and the case officer hasn't asked for anything else or said it wasn't right so I think it's ok - Good luck

Hi All

Finally, my 175 visa is approved on 08-Apr. I had to do additional meds due to old TB scar, and was referred 27-Nov12. Good luck & all the best to those who are still waiting.

Congratulations CC14 - You are so lucky all this waiting is over!

Hope you don't mind me asking you a question - How long after your meds were refered were to asked to go for additional tests?

I am asking as mine were refered due to the and old scar on my lung. The panel Doc said (on the report) that it could've been due to TB - I have never had TB?? And have still NOT been asked to do further tests. Mine was refered on the 18th Dec - 489 visa - Team 33

thanks and good luck

We got message from MOC concerning a dependant on my application, I would like to know what further test they requested from you and how you were able to clear them, Congrats on your grant.

I refer to your medical results received by the Global Health (GH) for your Australian visa application.

The Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) has advised that further information is required before it can be determined whether you meet the health criteria for entry to Australia.

It is therefore necessary for you to undergo a further medical examination. Please attend the same Panel Doctor who performed your initial medical examination. It is not acceptable for you to approach alternative Panel Doctors for this follow-up request. The new requirements are already loaded into your online file.

Kindly hand this letter to the Clinic which performed the initial medical examination. The Panel Doctor will then record the results using the electronic system. Please present your passport at the time of examination.

The following additional information we require are:-

Chest specialist (or chest clinic) investigation and report required for current status regarding

tuberculosis please.

Opacity in the right upper zone noted in the chest X-rays performed on 21 November 2012.

Please include the following information:

- Clinical examination findings;

- Old chest X-rays for comparison (if available);

- Repeat PA film at the completion of cultures

- Any previous reports regarding any treatment of tuberculosis;

- Results of 3 current sputum samples taken on 3 different mornings for 3 separate acid fast bacilli smears and 3

separate cultures for Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

If the cultures are positive, please provide the laboratory report for drug sensitivity testing.

Please exclude other pathology that could cause the abnormal X-rays findings described above.

Thank you.

Please note that all costs involved in the examination are your responsibility.

Processing requirements provide a time limit of 28 days for you to provide reports to this office. If we have not heard from you by that time, the case officer may proceed to decide this application on the basis of the available information. (Please note: some testing and treatment, such as those for tuberculosis, may take longer than 90 days. If you are required to complete such a tests, please arrange for the information to be forwarded to the GH as soon as it becomes available).

Please contact your case officer if you require further information or you are unable to meet the requested timeframe.

Hi,

in Nov. we were asked for the same thing, even though my husbands lungs are perfectly fine.

The 3 smears in 3 different mornings take 2 month, never the less.

So, in January we went to the Panel Doctor again an by now no news, the medicals of my husband are RECEIVED from 12 febr.2013.

It is not right to wait another time since we have been waiting from august to nv. the first time.

Good luck!!
