I am changing my ANZSCO code from nurse NEC to nurse Medical so Im applying for a reissue of my letter of determination. ANMAC website only quotes the timescale of 12 to 16 weeks for a full skills assessment. Does anyone know how long a reissue of LoD takes for a change of code?

I'm currently working in the Caribbean so making that extra journey that just wouldn't been a valid logistical or financial option for me. I'll give it a few more months then may be draw a line under it. Maybe it's just not meant to be! Thanks again for your help

Thanks Jenki75. Am I right in saying you must apply to AHPRA prior to lodging a EOI for Victoria? That would mean travelling to Australia within 3 months to finalise the registration process before startinb the visa process? I see thatd what you've done? South Australia was our first option but then my occupation was moved to special conditions and we had to start again with NSW

I am a registered nurse nec. I lodged an EOI for visa 190 to NSW with 65+5 points but heard nothing for months. If you lodge more than one EOI for state sponsorship, does it decrease your chance of an invite? I was told states wont send you an invite if you don't apply solely and directly to work in their state alone. Is this true? I have no way of increasing my pointsso Im desperately trying to find a way around it before I lose all hope! Help!

I think 65 is the baseline requirement but we have been waiting for over 2 months on 65 with no invite. I'm wondering if 70 points would achieve a much quicker invite?

Hi, i also want to know the answer to this question! I am a nurse with 70 points and wondered how long it would take to get an invitation from NSW. Did you ever get an answer or have you now had an invitation?

I am sending additional references for review to ANMAC in a bid to get an extra 5 points for years of experience. Does anyone know how long the reassessment takes? The original skills assessment was about 12 weeks but I've been told reveiwing new evidence should be much quicker?

Thanks Garry. My husband is 48 so we were told the whole process needs to be done based on my points and that a skills assessment isn't possible for him?

QLD, S.A. and now NSW. My husband is an executive chef so we need to be somewhere that will offer both of us job options. I looked at job sites in Perth and no job adverts came up for my job which put me off applying there

I looked at that code but it looks more of a community/GP setting which isn't what I do. I don't want to change code and risk submitting an EOI with a code that isn't really right. Soooooo tough!

We lodged EOI 190 for South Australia 13 weeks ago (end of august). Their website says processing time is 10 weeks. If it was a definite no, would we know by now?! And if the occupation is full, are there ever an extra invitations sent out? Please Have applied directly to the state as well as submitting your expression of interest? Yes both but Still nothing
