  1. Thanks but give me some credit, I have a medical reason and no family around.
  2. It's not just an off the cuff decision. I do have a medical reason and they would 100% take any risk to be with me as I have no family close by.
  3. Hey Marisa, thanks for taking time to reply to me. I'm looking for my parents to gain entry to Australia. Not for wedding or christening is understandable. What I find frustrating is an immediate family member is not parents
  4. Are there many exemptions being granted for compassionate reasons? What would 'compassionate' be? Death of family member, birth of grandchild?
  5. Has anyone had or know of anyone been given an exemption to travel?
  6. Hey Kym. I had my little girl 14 weeks ago, I don’t receive any paid parental leave but my partner did get dad/partner pay because he is an Aussie. It doesn’t effect your application as I was pregnant whilst waiting on mine. Good luck!x
  7. Hey! No you’re not eligible until you have held PR for 1 year prior to the child being born. My little girl is 14 weeks and these were the rules for me. As for the employer pay they can decide whether they will pay you or not, mines chose not too because they follow Centrelink rules (I’m the first ever pregnant employee so it was purely to get of paying me!) My friend I met on here was in the exact same situation. We both returned to work when our babies were very young. @Hayley1376
  8. UK Police check and medical submitted. Still awaiting Aussie one to come through and the requested documents will be complete! Fingers crossed. Hang in there everyone! x
  9. Today, nomination was approved almost immediately after and they requested police checks & medical.
  10. Nomination has just been approved. Medical and police check requested, luckily I done them earlier this week!!
  11. What are the next steps after immigration call your work place to confirm your position? Does anyone have any experiences?
  12. It wouldn't let me update it? Grant date was 1/02/2019.
  13. @ring3018 Hayley from April 2017 has been approved, if you wish to update on her behalf. Granted Friday I believe. So looks like we are circa May / June 2017?
  14. That is called.... illegal, so you should report it and yes that would be compelling circumstance to leave that job but you should seek professional advice first.
  15. My MA said it has priority over any others right now.... I'm struggling to believe it!
  16. Does the office listed on the footer of your grant notice give you an indication on which processing centre has your application? I'm in QLD but I got letter from NSW. EDIT: My previous WHV has ACT listed, I was in QLD when I applied.
  17. Very lucky.... you shouldn't be frustrated after waiting as little as you have to hear from immi.
  18. Speak to your MA. No one else could answer that, it is too complex.
  19. I agree completely but like @Marisawright said...... we need them more than they need us! It is so disheartening to hear people from 2018 having feedback from immi but please do remember there are others waiting longer than you too. (They might not necessarily be on this forum!)
