    There was a number floating round on here as recent as a few weeks ago if i remember. It seemed that they were coming in under the target, Think they were on track to hit 150,000 which is interesting. I think Dutton wanted to reduce the target number further but the PM wanted to keep it at 170,000 so there is a bit of tension in the party. Draw your own conclusion from that when predicting the final number on July 1.

    We are coming to the end of the financial year and the immigration target is 170,000 people I believe. They may be close to it and therefore they may slow processing down until July 1 when they enter a new year and therefore a new quota number.

    This needs to be the week! Wonder if their year is financial or calendar? Feels like its slowed down so Im assuming financial. Need to come in at their target for the year of 170k.

    I imagine they will call if they are certfying your skills.

    They will almost certainly sit in one database which will be fed into a CRM of some kind. As for the other questions im really not sure. Its almost random enough to suggest that ha. Most likely priority express lanes or workflows will be set up based on certain criteria in my opinion. Think its likely they work on batches of occupations too as it could be more efficient to process a sugar load of the same job through that way. I can certainly see the benefit and that would explain some of the randomness. Each pese is working on diff batches of occupations at any one time maybe.

    Ive said it a few times now but this forum thread has pretty much died when it comes to anything interesting or positive!!

    They are assessing your file and nobody knows how long it takes. Its on a case by case basis. Could be a week, could be a year.

    You applied in Dec 16 right? Was it DE, high risk? Can't remember how many you had on your visa..

    Have to agree with that. I think airing frustration is one thing and getting peed off with the lack of transparancy and clear process is one thing- attacking an understaffed workforce is another. I doubt they choose to be overworked!! I wonder if anybody has seen their visa refused because of details shared on here. Wouldnt be surprised

    Well that is the case anytime before a refusal but once that letter comes out thats it.

    I would refer you MA's advice as thats what you pay them for. The department does clearly state however that applications should be decision ready when lodged. If it was me I would do it asap.

    If it's been refused its too late to provide the docs im afraid.

    You need to sumbit all the docs that are on the visa checklist applicable to the stream you are applying under as soon as possible.

    Its all gone so quiet on here compared to previous weeks. Feels like its slowed down a lot.
