  1. I would counter that and say if you have been in a role 7 years there is a clear need for the role as long as its tied to genuine, profitable, business objectives, and its on the occupation list. I agree that it should be looked at through a temporary lens but i would say that there is an inconsistent application of policy if thats the case. Are you saying that there are not enough Australian cooks? Or customer service managers? Pick an occupation and you will see some inconsistency. Take them off the list and then its transparent and fair. I dont blame the hard working people in the offices processing, im merely commenting on a lacklustre immigration policy without clearly defined objectives tied to Australia's needs.
  2. How would we know the ins and outs of your case? Generally your chances are improved if your nomination has been approved but its not guarantee by any stretch of the imagination.
  3. Thats awful. Was it a small company or something? I don't understand how they can refuse that he wasn't necessary if he had been there for 7 years! Sounds like they need him to me but I guess Im not the expert and I don't know the ins-and-outs. Seems very harsh but hard to comment from afar. Regardless, Im really sorry you have to go through this.
  4. Im surprised my 186 has taken so long when my 457's took 6 weeks. My 457 transfer was 4 days too so thats a bit unlucky for you!
  5. Which spreadsheet are you looking at? There are plenty of recent(ish) file allocations and approvals in June. I would send you the link but Im on my phone in a meeting.
  6. You really think its hard?? Use the spreadsheet, that may help you.
  7. I'm not often wrong! ? Are you a recruiter mate? Cant quite remember. There were a few on here a while back but they got their visas real quick.
  8. Happy for you mate. Seems like marketing related roles are getting a nudge at the moment. Fingers crossed!
  9. Your business will receive a notification. If you have a migration agent then they will be able to tell you also.
  10. Yeah its not the most professional email is it! Like they are trying to make you worry! My MA has had no genuine, qualified applications ir nominations refused in the last 6 months. Now this may be because my company has highly skilled managers but who knows... The retail manager examples in it are pretty unfair. If they dont want retail managers just take it off the list!
  11. This seems to me like its verging on scare tactics by your MA. I dont get why they would do that though...Last paragraph seens to suggest you shouldn't bother carrying on in the process!? Its not the greatest written english either. I showed my MA this post the other day and they said that they havent seem any refusals that were not genuine or the fault of other RMA's. And my MA is contracted to a multi billion company (where I work) so i imagine his firm are pretty good. End of the day if you have the right docs, the business is making a ton of money, and you fit the critera then you dont need to worry. Im certainly not. Im just miffed its taking so long!
  12. Next week or so I reckon. They have stopped saying what months they are processing on their auto response email Ive noticed...
