  1. So we can apply for a AAT review for only sponsored visa applications? I am not the sponsor here. It was an offshore visa application.
  2. That is why I used 'We' throughout the question instead of 'I' because it is one of my family members, not me but due to his lack of English communication I am asking on his behalf.
  3. has anyone gone through such situation? our visitor visa was recently refused due to case officer's mistake. He mistakenly looked at the tax deducted (which was some thousands currency) instead of the account closing balance (which was around 1 million currency) in the bank statement, and refused the visa saying that tourist funds are insufficient. what can we do?
  4. What is "for on-arrival intensive English as an Additional Language / Dialect Support" ?
  5. Did anyone else noticed that in Australia (at least in NSW where I live) child care/day care fee is subsidized by the government but the fee for pre-schools is not. Why is it so?
  6. I will keep an eye an open for this month's usage.
  7. Yes but it, as expected, captures the local free-to-air channels and I am interested in the international channels! What are my options here.
  8. Yes there is an antenna on the building and I came to know from the neighbor that in every unit there is a TV connection already provided. We just have to hook our TV in it.
  9. I live in a 2 bed unit with no gas connection. My last 4 monthly electricity bills are $140, $229, $100 and $193. Our stove top is electric (ceramic) and there is no air conditioner. A couple of persons have told me that my electricity bill is a bit higher, for a 3 person household, because of the electric stove. If I replace it with a gas stove, the bill would go down to approximately $80-$130 range monthly, on average. I still have to authenticate this myself.

As someone already answered, it is the responsibility of the house/unit owner.
  11. Some electricity companies, such as AGL, have started giving an option to their subscribers to enter the meter reading themselves (app/website) every month to get an accurate bill. I have been doing it for last 3 or 4 months.
  12. It might seem a pretty dumb question to some of you guys but I am clueless about it. I am living in a Sydney suburb. I got a large LCD for my home but now I don't know what to do set up TV channels. What options do I have? classical TV antennas? dish antennas? cable tv?
  13. UPDATE: Someone advised me that it should be "Consent for travel of a child under the age of 18, Evidence of" but it was not present in my application so I used OTHER DOCUMENTS section.
  14. Under which document type, in immi account, should I upload the Form 1229?
  15. for any such cases, there is a correction form to be uploaded in your visa application.
  16. Nice. I guess it is what I was looking for. Although I still have to go through the website in detail.
  17. How much funds are enough to be compatible with "Evident of sufficient funds" condition of the Visitor visa (subclass 600)?
  18. I can interpret them myself but am not sure where should I go for a certain blood test. Back in my home country, I could have gone to any medical laboratory and ask them to do any blood test and they can happily do it without any doctor's prescription. I am not sure if the process is same here or not.
  19. @Wa7 and @vickyplum thank you for your replies.
  20. In Australia and specifically in Sydney, can we get our blood tested WITHOUT a doctor's prescription. if yes, how and where to go for this?
  21. What are this 'load' as per you. Am I safe here to assume that according to you anything above $200 can be put in 'loads' category ?
  22. Can someone shed light on what is average dental checkup cost in Australia, especially in NSW and more specifically in Sydney. Assume that the person who wants to get his teeth checked, does not have medical insurance apart from Medicare.
