    is my electricity bill normal

I live in a 2 bed unit with no gas connection. My last 4 monthly electricity bills are $140, $229, $100 and $193. Our stove top is electric (ceramic) and there is no air conditioner. A couple of persons have told me that my electricity bill is a bit higher, for a 3 person household, because of the electric stove. If I replace it with a gas stove, the bill would go down to approximately $80-$130 range monthly, on average. I still have to authenticate this myself.

    Cost of bills in brisbane

Hi all, we are hoping to move from UK to Brisbane in 2019, and are trying to put a rough budget together for cost of utilities, council tax, home insurance etc. We are looking at a 3 bedroom house with 2 toddlers. Any help would be great thanks
  3. Hey all Our new rental place has a Solar PV system which by the looks of it feeds into the grid. The Agent didn't know much about how it is set up. Yesterday I received a letter from Energex saying that we would receive 8 cents rebate per kilowatt hour for any excess electricity exported to the network. My question is does anyone have experience of how much of a saving this will put on the bills? There is no gas at the property and there are only two of us. Millie x
  4. Morning all We have just signed on a property in SL. Can anyone give any ball park figures on monthly costs for elec, gas, water etc on a 4/5 bed house in this area. Also any recommendations for best value service providers would be great. Does anyone have any thoughts on broadband vs cable - could anyone give a recommendation on this? Any help would be gratefully received. We have been contacted by Direct Connect (through the estate agents) who are willing, but can't give any figures on pretty much anything they connect! Thanks everyone - Fiona

    Canberra Utilities

Well, heres another thread of many I anticipate. Can canberra folks give me a rough estimate on how much they pay each month for the following: - Gas - Electric - Petrol Working on my budget to see how much house I can afford to rent  Also, what is the TV situation there. Are we able to get free over the air digital channels? if so, how many, and what channels are they. I really don't want to fork out for cable TV. Is there a TV license fee like UK?

    Help!! Utilities,gas,electric & water

Hi All Think i read somewhere that water rates are included when you rent a property in South Australia. Is this correct as we are just putting together our research for the SA Govt? Also have seen some great threads on suppliers for gas & electric but no approx monthly costs. Can anyone help with some rough monthly prices for say a 3 bedroomed house in adelaide suburbs? Thanks in advance Mark :chatterbox:
