    Sorry I Quoted you in error..just wanted to say I can't believe how similar your story is to mine! I also backpacked all around Australia, had my baby there, was back and forth, and and was completely isolated, in terms of area, and with OH family. Finally, after some yo yo'ing, we are back in the U.K., just me and my toddler, and we are both thriving!

    Hi All, I submitted my Partnership Visa 3 weeks ago, and it's still at "received" status, not heard from any CO or anything..is this the norm?     Well I have submitted my Partner Visa through my immi on Friday Afternoon, uploading evidence now, so will be interesting to see how long it shall take.     Hi, thank you. Even six months would be great, as it currently says up to 16 months on their website. So I'd be happy with that! Waiting on partner to forward to details so that I can move onto the next page of the application. I have decided to take advice given to me here, and apply offshore. Then I will probably go in September on the tourist visa in the meantime. My only other option was applying onshore on the tourist visa, but that seems a bit risky now.     Hi all, 

    Just wondering if it is possible and worth it to start preparing my partnership Visa here in England offshore, so that when I get back to Australia I can submit it straight away? Are the offshore and onshore applications the same format/questions?  We have a daughter together and have been together for 2.5yrs, so this would save is a lot of time, but I'm hoping it won't be frowned upon by the Australian Government, can they tell that I would have started and saved the application? I've heard mixed and confusing statements? 

    Any  help or advice is greatly appreciated!
