    in this case you are safe .All the info. is in the DIBP website .If you have received an invitation ,but have not lodged then the new changes apply to you and you won't be assessed.

    today ship officer ,ship ebgineer.ship master categories have been removed from the new 2017-2018 list.

    you should definitely apply for re-marking if you feel they did not give you what you deserve.I had my writing mark changed from 6.5 to 7.5 and my wife's writing from 6.5 to 7.5 and her speaking from 7.5 to 8.5,so she got 2 marks extra and I got one.

    I agree with Evandale .You will definitely enjoy Laos.They are still recovering from what the Americans have done to their country though.Pretty sad history.

    well that is weird as they gave me 7 years in my final assessment (even though I got almost 8 years experience) which was in this month.Maybe they have done some changes to their system.

    I received my assessment on 23/05/2017 and they assessed my experience as well as my qualification.I think you should call them and clarify .

    Thanks for the reply .I am still wondering whether they will make changes to the new MLTSSL within the coming months ?

    does that mean there won't be any changes for the SOL list on the 1st of July?

    Hey, you just need to fill out AMSA419 and keep it with you after booking your oral exam and you just need to bring it with you when you show up at the office for verifying your original documents.You don NOT need to send it out at all .Do not forget to book for your medical examination before you travel to Australia and it is better to do the medical examination before doing the oral exam.By the way ,I guess all of what I mentioned should have been mentioned in the booking confirmation e-mail you got from the AMSA office you contacted ,so please go through their booking confirmation e-mail and read it properly.

    This page is meant for ship engineers in all ranks who are going for AMSA COR oral exams.I found so many engine officer in this forum looking for sample COR oral exams ,but all they could find is deck officers COR exam,therefore , I hope this page be of a great help to them. Cheers, A.A.A

      hello there,

      Unfortunately i didn't, I made few mistakes, i will be appearing again on 12th.

      following are the question asked by surveyor,

      1 Different laws and acts, what are marine orders, lots of cross questioning, he went specific about marine order 28.

      2 Then he gave many situations:

           A. actions during fire alarm in your watch, then changed to fire on main engine due to high pressure pipe leaking. I explained steps but didn't mention about trying to fight with portable extinguisher since i assumed to be big. 

         B. Actions during Black out, i explained with regards to emergency generator, but he wanted to listen that we try other generator first in case Emergency generator didn't start, l

        C How you will supervise a steam pipe repair in double bottom fuel tank, Explained all safeties to be taken, he asked about the dangerous gases there, forgot to mention H2S.

         D. Actions during Steering gear failure, lots of cross questioning on this one, asked about block diagram, then electrical diagram of connection between bridge and Steering gear( couldn't remember).
