  1. Your WHV will allow you to work for an employer for up to 6 months, if things worked out (and there's no guarantee) you could potentially move onto a 4 year 457 or find a state to permanently sponsor you.
  2. Did you check whether your occupation was on one of the skill shortage lists? Are you under 30?
  3. I think this is one of those times where you should to try and make this happen if it's what she and you want, but under the realisation that it won't be easy and you may have to provide some support for her in the future.
  4. Got mine in 48, looking at the tracker you should hear back either this week or next!
  5. You initial entry date is usually based on a year from your police certificate date or your medicals, whichever came first. I suspect (and only a CO will know this) that you'll need another one.
  6. 3/4 scores are great, with the reading I'd advise you to just take your time and from your other scores you should be able to hit a 7 or hopefully an 8.
  7. Looking at the tracker the 27th March should be in about 10-14 days time, not long to go!
  8. The list of requirements is clear, medicals are easy to arrange and automatically uploaded, apply for police certificate(s), work references are the same usually as for the skills assessment, certify documents, upload them and give the CO any additional information as required. Yes it's in depth but decent organisational skills, and support of resources like this, should help most through.
  9. You can put in a request for a Departing Australia Super Payment online, you'll likely be contacted be your super companies after around 4 weeks (I was) and you'll be taxed 35%. Not sure whether this will be rejected since you have another live visa application but if you are going to try I'd get on with it ASAP
  10. Did you get the speil about 'local experience'? It does take time and a lot of employers will pass if you don't have it.
  11. Thanks! I've had the pleasure of being to those three (and Perth, how in the middle of nowhere is that place?) beire. Melbourne was fabulous and a great IT market but family is always a stong pull.
  12. I don't think in general a migration agent is necessary as long as you're reasonably organised.
  13. Thanks! Heading out in September (I've previously been in Melbourne which was great). City is TBC, I have family in Brisbane but a lot depends on job opportunities and a couple of years back it wasn't the best IT market. Can you link me to the tracker?
  14. Got my grant today! 48 days, found the whole process very efficient.
  15. http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/SkillSelect/SkillSelect.aspx then occupation ceilings. I got an invite this morning so as of this draw there are still spots available.
  16. Looks like this will be filling up really quickly - 44 left! Have 70 points so fingers crossed for the next draw.
