My patience is wearing thin and its taking over my life now, obsessed with checking emails. I'm at that point I imagine many people have been where I feel in complete limbo, can't make any plans etc and its so frustrating. We lodged ours in Feb so would be hoping to here soon

  7. Hi I Applied for both at the same time as lots of the paperwork you need is duplicated and it was easier and cheaper to get all documents certified all in one go. Another reason was I thought AHPRA would take ages from what I had read about the difficulties people had getting registered Here is my time line do far ANMAC 14.10.15 - positive outcome 11.01.16 AHPRA 14.10.15 - positive outcome 07.01.16 (you have 1 year from date of grant to present in person with your ID) EOI 15.01.16 Invite to apply 22.01.16 Visa application lodged 22.02.16 just waiting now......... I hope that helps
  8. It took them a few day for them to get in touch with me so I wouldn't worry
  9. That's right @Paige03, crazy when they have all documents but I just asked the university to complete the template which they were very familiar with.
  10. Hi, I am also a mental health nurse, I lodged my application on 22nd Feb, medical and police checks up loaded 14th March. I was also told by my agent that the current waiting time is 3 months from date of visa lodge, over half way there in that case. The wait is killing me.Good look everyone, hope they all come soon
  11. The process for me was not as bad as I thought after reading lots of posts. Just be really carefully when completing the form, make sure it's filled in correctly, you can't go far wrong with the checklist of what do documents are needed. I am also a MH nurse and this is what I sent. ID- passport, driving licence, utility Bill. Diploma and MSc certificate, course transcripts, IELTS test resultsCVAll documents were certified by a notary public NMC sent my verification direct to AHPRA as did the university stating my course was taught in EnglishPolice checks - just follow the link on the paperwork it's really straightforward (this costs extra) I sent mine off on the 15th Oct and received a positive outcome on the 7th Jan so pretty quickGood luck
  12. Thats greAt news, we are exactly the same only a month behind you. We submitted ours on 22nd Feb, family of four with 2 kids age 7 and 10 hoping to move to Perth in Oct. Let's hope we here soon so we can get our house on the market asap

  14. I submitted my application on the 22nd Feb and went for medical on 12th march. My agent said they are currently looking at around 12 weeks from the date application was lodged. I'm hoping that I hear something before then. Happy waiting everyone
  15. What wonderful supportive words from people. I myself have never suffered with depression but as a mental health clinician have seen first hand the devestating effects suicide has. I've witnessed people take their lives whom I have been caring for, friends and extended family members and I cannot even begin to understand how people must feel for them to get to the point of contemplating suicide. What I do know from my work as a crisis practitioner that the hardest part for people was picking up the phone and asking for help. People were often shocked when I would talk so openly about suicide as I feel GPs, family, friends do not want to ask the question in fear of the response and not knowing how to deal with it. Just by asking for help and being truthful about your thoughts it's very brave and often the first step to getting better. I always tell people it's easier to work with knowing how they are feeling rather than not knowing. I only wish there was more being done to educate people on suicide and mental health issues in general.
  16. I would definitely come along, date and venue permitting
  17. We had ours at spire Manchester on Saturday 12th March and our experience was just the same. We were seen earlier than out appointment, the staff were great with the kids. No waiting round at all. Just growling at the cost x
  18. I think this will be fine, I have a dip HE in mental health nursing and a MSc in health professional education and I have successfully registered with AHPRA. Good luck
  19. Get the NMC to send your certificate of good standing to both as well, the fee is £34 and you can have it sent to 4 places for the one payment.
  20. I am currently using go Matilda and I'm at the very last stages of the process and cannot reccomend them enough, always get instant responses to emails, very informative and they have made the process so easy for us
  21. I did nothing really, they told me what info I needed, they filled out all forms and submitted, same with visa application.
  22. Yeah same in perth, lots of agrncy/bank work and prison/forensic work. Hopefully things will improve. Good luck with the job hunt. If you are successful some info on interview questions/cv would be great
  23. I am also a mental health nurse in the UK and just completed my MSc in health professional education, unfortunately the teaching qualification is not recognised in oz so although I'm on the nmc register as a teacher that does not count for AHPRA so not sure how I would get on if unwanted to teach @Becks22 have you secured a MH post yet?? What kind of work is in Adelaide?? I'm heading to perth and not much around at the moment
  24. I received an emil followed by a lettervin the post for AHPRA and an email from my agent to inform me 're ANMAC. That's super quick @kyliedonut hopefully not long for AHPRA
  25. It's all very real I bet and September will come round in no time. I'm sure you will get it back well before then. What's the job situation like where your going?? It's pretty poor in perth at the moment
