  1. I just didn't like the word 'might' need to be presented that suggests it needs discussing or an I reading too much into it??? Why is there not one in January, I can't face another 2 months of uncertainty arrgghh
  2. I emailed AHPRA yesterday and they told me my case may need to be presented to the board which will be held in Feburary!!!! Does anyone know if all applications are presented to the board?? I'm worried now
  3. Wow that's great news, I bet your over the moon. Fingers crossed it won't be long until I hear x
  4. I'm confused by the while thing it's so unclear. My MSc was in health professional education (teaching) which gained me teacher status on the nmc register but is not a AHPRA standard so i am also waiting. They have asked for loads of additional info regarding my msc so fingers crossed its eniugh.i will keep you posted
  5. So managed to get all my additional info sorted today, I was told it's usually 4-6 weeks from getting all info to receiving an outcome although many people would not agree!! Not holding out for a Xmas or new year out one then
  6. @samjwilli they wanted an email from referee of my work reference as we had forgot to date it so just need confirmation of employment, IELT test results need to go straight to ANMAC from test centre (weird how they won't accept my certified copy of results) and original registration certificate from NMC. I'm hoping that they don't ask for anything else!! I will keep you updated on progress
  7. About the same for me, 7weeks ish this Wednesday since mine was sent (my agent did it so not sure when it was received). They asked for an email from my referee from my professional reference as my original wasn't dated but at least the content was ok, IELTS results needs to be sent direct from test cente (not sure why my agent didn't tell me this) I just sent them a certified copy and my original statement of entry from 2002 which I no longer have so need to get a declaration certified. Not too bad all doable this week
  8. Just a quick question, how long after ANMAC requested additional information did people receive their LOD?? I was asked for additional information today so i am hoping they get it next week and send me an outcome before Christmas!!!!
  9. An outcome before Xmas would be great. There is so much uncertainty for me as to weather I will be eligible that I can't bear the wait.
  10. Hi all just come across this interesting thread. I'm in a similar position and sent both ANMAC and AHPRA documents off early October so they will have received them around 10.10.15. I had contact with AHPRA after 2 weeks requesting more information from the university which I sent sharpish and I had also completely missed out the fir2work so I did this and sent it. I Had no problems getting it back within 2 working days and had confirmation from AHPRA that all my doccuments had been recieved. So I suppose it's just a waiting game now. Yet to hear anything from ANMAC but my agent dealt with this and said it's normal to not hear anything before 8 weeks. I will keep you updated as and when I hear anything, it will be interesting to see if those who submitted there stuff at a similar time here the same time as me or vice versa Happy waiting everyone
  11. Well fingers crossed and good luck with it all. I'm trying to forget about it for a bit now it's all submitted, my future in their hands!!! I would ideally like to get out for September but we need to sell our house which I'm not prepared to do until I have the visa (just hoping it sells quick).
  12. Yeah I think most people find that from being on this forum. My agent has just submitted all my ANMAC stuff so hopefully they have everything they need. When you looking at going over?? Have you submitted your visa application as well?? It's all so exciting yet very frustrating, all the waiting!!
  13. I'm hopefully heading to perth, joondalup as that's where the in laws live but I'm a mental health nurse, ideally would like to teach at the uni but that's me wishful thinking. Still unsure if ANMAC will accept me as I'm only diploma trained with a msc in health professional education so fingers crossed
  14. Wow that was quick for ANMAC @Loulou. Did you get confirmation from AHPRA that they received your documents before they got in touch for more info??
  15. I sent my ANMAC and AHPRA off last week, as far as I know the form changed in July and I just printed off the form AGOS 40 I think
  16. I am trying to stay positive, it's so hard to know what ANMAC will do as there criteria is so open to interpretation, I have heard that as long as you have a degree or equivalent in a health related subject we should be ok. My agent sent all my paperwork off last week so we should here around the same time. I do t even know if my teacher status will be recognised over there either as I was hoping to go into education. Let the wait begin and hope we here something before Xmas.
  17. Thanks @smogzy that is really useful information and might need to be our plan B if ANMAC say no. I am currently using go Matilda and they have given me the same advice as you @Bushpiglet that as long as you have a degree or equivalent in a health related subject and meet all the 8criteria I should be ok. So I will patiently wait 12 and hope its good news, I will keep you posted. I expect I will be wait a while to hear anything from AHPRA!!
  18. Hi @smogzy just wondering if you had any more advice on your above question. I am in a very similar position with a diploma in nursing and a msc in health professional education, just sent off for my skills assessment unsure weather they will accept my qualifications.
  19. I wondered if anybody has experienced any problems passing their medical as part of the visa process for asthma or any other long term chronic condition. I am under the care of a specialist and have had previous hospital admissions. I'm really worried this will effect my application
  20. I'm hoping to do ok on the writing section, I'm currently writing a dissertation for my master degree so will feel pretty daft if I can't string a few sentences together lol!!!!! Well done for the good scores though
  21. Thanks, I think the reading section is where I will struggle too, having done a few mock papers I find some are much easier to interpert than others!! Writting and speaking I think I should fair well on, not sure about the listening not practiced many of them on line. I dont need the extra point for my visa I need to do it as I am nurse so will be seeking professional registration in Oz. Fingers crossed
  22. Hi, I am due to sit my academic ielts test this coming Saturday and was looking for some advice/tips.I have done a few mock reading papers and watched some of the speaking parts on you tube. What score is required for the academic test?
  23. Yes I'm studying in the UK. We have just come back from 3 weeks in perth
  24. I'm dip he mental health trained but just completing my msc in health professional education and a teacher on the nmc register so I'm hoping AHPRA will accept that, can't bear the thought of any more studying!
  25. I am also in the same position, I have a diploma in mental health nursing but just about to complete my masters in health professional education and not sure if they would accept this. Im unsure if any additional modules count towords the degree but I would speak to the university you studied at.
