  1. Hopefully November, just waiting on visa grant then hopefully the house will sell pretty quickly. Seems that the AHPRA applications vary a lot, I was pleasantly surprised as my qualifications were not straight forward.
  2. My application too about 10 weeks (October to January) and that was including asking me for some additional info on my MSc so pretty quick I thought. Good luck
  3. I also rate go Matilda so far in the process excellent and much cheaper than some of the other I looked at
  4. Please could I ask some advice regarding my husband's qualifications. He currently works in the UK as a welding inspector/welding engineer. He holds the following qualifications CSWIP 3.1 and CSWIP supervisor, PCN level 2, MPI/DPI. Please could you advise if these are recognised in Oz or will he be expected to retrain or completed any additional training to work. Any advise gratefully received TIA
  5. I just emailed the lady who I was dealing with at AHPRAcand said I would need the extension I presume this is all you need to do?? Congratulations @Charlottehill76 is all a bit real now isn't it?? Where are you going? I'm going to perth hopefully back end of the year
  6. I submitted ANMAC around 15th Oct and they asked me for some info on 1st Oct, just my IELTs test results needed sending directly and my reference had forgot to date it so I needed to send an email. So I would say about 10 weeks altogetherwith Xmas and new year and Samford AHPRA. I was pleasantly surprised was e expecting far longer for AHPRA with all comments on here.
  7. Hi please could you give me an estimate of invitation Registered nurse 65points EOI submitted 13.01.16 Thanks in advance
  8. So within 5 days I have received confirmation from AHPRA and ANMAC that I am eligable to register as a nurse and I can now go ahead with getting a visa. Great news for the new year, excited, nervous, scared all in one go
  9. I can't do my EOI until the ANMAC is approved then I think my MA will crack on with that. The IELTS was a nightmare, cross I had to do it as I was just completing a MSc but I did it and passed first time, think I would have cried if I had to resist. Hopefully we should both have more good news in the next couple of weeks. Really want to go by December this yeAr.
  10. Yes no problem with criteria 8 at all which surprised me as I trained back in 2002 and according to my transcript we did very little in terms of med mangment and the only additional training I have done since is yearly rapid tranq updates!!!! I didn't send any CPD either I just cited what hid done on my CV. I don't have any conditions either which I thought at the very least I would, just have 1 year to present myself in person to the office with my ID. I think you will be just fine.
  11. I think I completed both parts just be sure lol!! Obviously didn't matter
  12. I have a week booked off second week of Feb but not sure I will have been invited etc by then, never mind. Good luck @kyliedonut, just check check and double check everything and you will be ok.
  13. Thanks @Charlottehill76 they received mine around the 12th October so fingers crossed it will be soon, at least you got the ok from ANMAC and done your EOI I'm still waiting on that
  14. Thank you, no more questions and sorry for hijacking the thread
  15. Ok that's great thanks, last question I promise, so if I have not presented in person by this may will I still be expected to pay a fee or will it not start until I've presented??
  16. Is that a year from when you are registered e.g. it would be January for me or is there a set date for everyone, sorry if that doesn't make sense!!
  17. I got mine approved yesterday and it took about 10weeks, I was expecting a much longer time scale. It has come back before my ANMAC skills assessment!!!!! Can I just ask if you go and present within the year, do you have to do the same thing you do here with the NMC and pay a yearly fee??
  18. Glad all the advice is helping @jameandsarah, it sure does make things easier. I found the IELTS the most stressful part lol, lots of you tube revision that's all I used. Good luck
  19. I can only assume as I am not at the visa stage my MSc will count over my diploma as will your degree. I absolutely believe if I can get registered with no hassle with my qualifications you can as yours is more clinical than mine as mine was health professional education. I know exactly how you feel though I spent months trying to get answers that I never got any guarantees for. Just get everything together and put in your application to AHPRA the sooner you do that the sooner you will know, it has taken less than 12 weeks for mine and that was over Xmas and new year.
  20. I'm using go matilda and so far so good, always get a really fast response and although they are just at the skills assessment stage I'm happy so far.
  21. Just to give you an update I have received email from APHRA this morning and its good news, they have accepted my application and given me 12 months to present with my proof of identity so happy
  22. Great job @jamesandsarah I applied for one of them posts in my trust but on reflection not sure I could have done it so went into education instead!!!
  23. Yeah that's the impression I'm getting to but still high anxieties until the powers that be confirm it. Would you go back to MH as a starting point if need be just to get started?? I ideAlly want a teaching post but being realistic I guess I will have to start at the bottom again Hopefully by the time we eventually get out there the job situation may look a bit more positive, fingers crossed eh. Let me know if you mAnage to get any positive answers/outcome.
  24. That's good news, can I ask who you managed to seek clarification from as I am in a similar position and worrying about my ANMAC and AHPRA applications. I would assume you wouldn't be restricted to MH jobs but that's only a guess. Not that there seems to be many of any jobs currently (or mAybe that's just in perth)
  25. Hi @jamesandsarah I'm still waiting to here anything from ANMAC and AHPRA, they have both asked for bits off additional information but nothing on section 8. I would struggle to evidence that, I've done a bit of rapid tranq training (I'm mental health trained) but I suppose I would have to ask the university to write a supporting letter as I help facilitate the meds management exams and I'm currently writing a journal article on student OSCEs. I've heard from some people that a BSc in a health related subject is enough but I'm not getting my hopes up until I hear from AHPRA I will keep you informed and good luck
