For this reason, the one year relationship criterion does not require the couple to have physically lived together for the entire 12 months, but rather to have been in a de facto relationship for that period. Partners who are currently not living together may be required to provide additional evidence that they are not living separately and apart on a permanent basis in order to satisfy the requirements of a de facto relationship. Q: We have been in a de facto relationship for longer than one year but, as my job in Australia does not allow me to travel to my partner's country, we have only lived together for eight months. Will I be eligible to sponsor my partner on a partner visa to Australia? Despite not living together for one year, your partner may still be eligible for a partner visa. It is expected that couples will have physically lived together at some time since they committed to the relationship. However, it is recognised that couples may be physically apart for periods of time, for example, due to work or travel commitments, yet remain in a genuine and continuing relationship and are committed to a shared life to the exclusion of all others. In assessing whether you are in a de factor relationship, the department may take into account a number of factors other than periods of physical cohabitation such as the history of the relationship, social and financial aspects of the relationship, the nature of the household and your commitment to each other.

Hi ozmaniac, I didn't write about my partner at the beginning because my parter who is holding 457visa scared that may affect his visa, that he needs to leave australia in 28 days in case bridging visa is not given to him,( I applied offshore, he is onshore) but I heard someone here as long as his visa is not expired, he doesn't need the bridging visa at all. so is that I need to fill in the form 1023? Also the form 1436 adding an additional applicant after lodgement? Do you know if that will takes a long time? And in case, my partner is being refused, will I be refused too? do you think it might be better just wait after my visa being granted, and apply for partner visa, however , this visa takes at least one year and very expensive. thanks for your advice.

Hi all. my 189 visa application date is 27oct2014 offshore low risk country. On 17oct2014, my CO contacted me requesting further document, at this point of time, I would like to add partner to my visa. do you know the processing time of adding my partner now? My partner already gets 457 visa and in Australia now And do you know will they accept it as for the last 6 months we are not living together. We have been living together before from oct2013 to June this year (8 months), address proof, jointed bank account, travel ticket (June 2013 and Sept 2014. We travelled one month together in Sept 2014, and get pic proof with his family and my mother. We are going to rent a place in coming mid Jan with application of our name. Do you think this is enough for our relationship proof thank you

Does anyone know if someone gets drink driving in June this year and speeddriving，will there any impact on the visa application? And will the federal police check takes longer time to process? I understand now more that he doesn't need a bridging visa at all as long as his 457 visa is not expired and the 457 visa still takes effect. however, federal police check is required. thanks lebourvellec, you are right for the relationship proof. We have been living together since last October til Late June this year. And after we travelled one month together in his hometown this September , and get pics proof with his family. So far, we also get address proof of living together, jointed bank account, travel e ticket. Do you think it's enough? and about bridging visa, as I said I applied offshore, so bridging visa will not be granted in this case? And then seems my onshore partner 's 457 visa will be cancelled as I add him on my 189visa (his 457 visa will be expired in 2018) and he has to leave australia in 28 days. Am I correct?

I am applying 189visa offshore and get CO assigned. I would like to include my partner in my application actually, however, he is holding a 457 visa now and in Australia. If I add him to my application, seems bridging visa won't be issued for him right? And he need to leave Australia in 28 days. Any other suggestion in this way? I don't want to apply the partner visa for him after my visa is granted, as partner visa takes up to 18months soon and the price is 6800 something. Any suggestion will be appreciated thanks

Hi wats , may I know When was the time that you have given all the document to AHPRA? I hope I can hear from them soon too. do you send email or call them regularly to push them faster? i am in similar timeframe with you ~just hand in the application one month after. and by the way, do you guys know if there any requirement to work as your profession within one year before applying the visa ? Matthewroberts I think the time of medical processing depends on your clinic, did they upload the health check result already online? (My clinic said 5days to upload) Maybe you can call to ask, and if there is no abnormality of the result, they will process it one to two weeks. it will reflect on your immi account. Where it says Health Requirement it will change to say something like 'health requirement has been finalized for this applicant." So, You could also maybe check with your clinic if the results have been uploaded. and how about you guys ahpra registration? I am a degree nurse and applied in late May, and after I gave additional document at the beginning of oct, and they said until that time, they have received all the documents..and it has been one month again and never heard back from them.

Hello all I have some enquiry about the medical. as a nurse, is it required to include hepatitis B and C in the blood test? But when I asked about the clinic and gave my HAPID, it is not required. Wonder if I filled in some question wrongly in the form, or immigration is missing something? Thanks

I am also thinking about the same way as you! no time to waste..and I believe with the 189 visa, I can get a job easier and start to work asap.. you know it is so difficult to get a job now without AHPRA registration granted and an appropriate visa (( btw, may I ask how many points do you get to apply for your 189visa? I barely get 60 points only and afraid may not get invitation and also did you use any agency during the process? thanks a lot! and good luck for your new life in oz with the 189 visa

understandable if you cant send me so how's your AHPRA registration now? did you get it already? how long did you wait to grant your registration? I heard they might be slower since Feburary as they changed the rules.

Also, how do you contact your supervisor to do for you? you will send her a sample or just the template to let her fill in for you? Hello everybody! I just started the registration process with AHPRA in Perth ..and I am looking for applying PR here as my working holiday visa will be expired in Oct2014. I read a lot of forum and searched on the internet, but I am still confused about the process..and the way I should go in order to get my PR. I heard some people go to ANMAC before AHPRA..but before I didn't know that..so I just go AHPRA straightly after I passed my OET exam...so what should I do now? wait for the registration from AHPRA (at least 3 months?) and then go to ANMAC for modified assessment ? or I should go to ANMAC now at the same time..in this way I can get my PR faster? And according to the PR visa, which visa is the best? apply the independent one (189) or wait until apply a job in the hospital here then they can sponsor me (norminated visa or state visa ..what is the difference? and is it easy to apply a job here that is willing to employ oversea nurse with 457 visa? )...and which way is the best /fastest way to be a PR here?
