    That's cool, a lot of people wait onshore - just remember to tell your CO as you need to be offshore when the visa is ready.

    For me, this forum and everyone posting gave me that bit of hope and sanity while I waited for my own response. Thank you! It is hard, waiting, checking here everyday. It gets even harder as others with similar time frames as you get granted and for me, OCD kicked in - check forums, then wake up at silly o'clock to check emails, check forums and the cycle never ends! Whilst everyone I know says "patience is a viruture" - seemingly none of us find this through this process - I didn't lol. Whilst everyone I know is pleased, no one really understands the stress we go through but everyone here does! I'm heading back home to London for a few days to spend sometime with my family & in between getting a little puppy this Friday! My co said I was going to be assessed for s/c 100 & confirmed the day my visa would be granted once I'm back, so all on track! I'm just not 100% sure on going from 35 degrees + to 2 degrees though!

    Does anyone know the policy on taking electrical items, like a PS3, my OH is having withdrawal symptoms and wants me to bring it back with me

    I'm a 23rd of May applicant, so I'm a week shy of 8 months, they're pretty much sticking to that. But they give you time to sort out getting abroad / overseas (as the Aussies say), as long as you tell them within 28 days and are back by your initial entry date. Remember to tell your CO that you'll be in Australia.

    Ladies & gents... I'm a so pleased to say I have been told to go offshore as my visa is ready! Jumping on the train with you all. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's recently been granted and shared their news here, it's given me a source of excitement during this time of waiting, and waiting and waiting!
