Criteria 8 relates to your training and must cover all the areas pharmacology, pharmakokinetics, drug admin etc. You would have done it all. Ask your university to write up a document which covers this. Mine did and it was accepted.

You are probably better waiting Jac! Its not too long till Sept and Ahpra are so behind processing all other IQNMs it probably won't make much difference! Some nurses have been waiting over 8mnths....one nurse over a year!!

This is torture and how can uk government allow it??
kellyv replied to scotinoz43's topic in Visa Chat
At the end of the day you, your husband and your children are the most important family unit. Yes, maybe in Scotland extended family were very involved but remember this has a novelty factor. When everyday routibe kicks in you may not see them that much at all. At the end of the day you need to stick together as a family unit and you will be happier for it. Good luck x -
Oh you poor thing! I don't know fron experience but I'm sure u can contact DIAC directly. Are your reference numbers/lodgement details on your receipt?

Ask your agent for the HAP ID. Or you can use the TRN.

Really don't know! I think partly there are a lot of applications and partly they're disorganised and unsure what they are doing since the big changes. They reckon they are aiming to be back on track with processing applications within 4-6 wks but not as far as I can see. One person (with diploma and degree) has been waiting 32 wks so far!!!

Hi busbybecci18! If u are planning to work as a midwife/be the primary visa applicant or earner I would make a starting point by checking you will be able to get registration with Ahpra the equivalent of NMC. Lots of UK nurses having major issues with that at the moment. For more info check out the 'whats happening at ahpra thread'. Good luck

Ceridwyn I imagine most nurses would be happy if the 'loophole' was closed then they wouldn't have to waste thousands of $£ to get to Australia and then find themselves claiming benefits! Unless you think nurses spend years training and working to become highly skilled practitioners for no other reason than to migrate on a skilled visa then just live off centrelink payments. GET REAL. And until something is done to address this injustice then people should keep on tweeting and raising awareness as much as they can, because unlike you, most of us would try and support fellow nurses and stop them from having to go through this for nothing!!
