Hi Steph Sorry to hear about the job front, are you working in the meantime till a HR role comes up? I'm worried about local experience bit I'd volunteer just to get some experience. It's crazy really as its all transferable just need to get up to speed with Aussie legislation etc. like you said hang in there! Apart from jobs sounds like you are loving Sydney! Keep in touch kez

hello how do you know when a CO has been allocated? checking immi every morning still in progress, no health checks required and all docs received. this is torture and weve only been waiting since last thursday ha ha! guess it feels longer as he got offered the role early Dec!

Hello welcome! Cant you contact your MA? Do you have an immi account so you can log on and check status and progress? Seems to be varying waiting times from 5 days to 6+ months!

Hi Steph my post grad was rejected by vetassess but by chance my bf got offered promotion to melbs so we are going down 457 route. I've spoken to AHRI and as soon as visa comes through I'll get it assessed by them they said I just need to prove what level I'm at. Where in oz are you? Have you found a job yet? Any tips? I'm hearing mixed reports an ex colleague of mine found a HR job within two weeks and had another two lined up! Very lucky maybe. Cheers thx for your post kez

I know I get asked everyday! An ex colleague arrived in Adelaide this month and got HR job within two weeks plus two other job offers so I'm hoping ill strike lucky too. I have 10 years HR experience and plan to do some e-courses on the legislation as soon as visa arrives. I did ask my bf if I could be a lady of leisure for a while but he threatened me with pocket money so I thought better of it! We have family and friends in all the major Aussie cities except melbs, typical! All part of the adventure!!

Hello I'm planning to resign which scares me to death as I have a great job and the prospect of job hunting fills me with dread. luckily my notice period is only 4 weeks so as soon as visa arrives in my inbox so does my resignation! We rent so need to give two months notice so could mean we lose deposit or ask BF employer to cover that cost(if they want him in march then least they can do) we will arrange a short term rental for around 4 weeks while we hunt a flat out and suss out areas to live. You will love cairns fab weather, GBR on your doorstep, you must go north and visit cape tribulation. @amy hopefully you will hear this week I've marked my diary at work counting down weeks from visa lodge day! I've listed all our worldly possessions to ship and biggest to do list ever! Glad we are all in same boat to keep ourselves sane...maybe :chatterbox:

We had to provide photos with each others family joint bill or council Tax statement or tenancy agreement plus letters addressed to same address. Stat decs from each of us plus one from each others friends! Seems over the top but hey ho.

Hi there, we submitted last week for nomination and visa, our MA said roughly 3-4 weeks (Melbourne) I hope she's right! Where you heading? My BF is being transferred on promotion so we are hoping its as straight forward as possible as they want him in March. Is your employer already SBS?

On the TRN thing - my MA gave me the tracking number knowing I wanted it to track my application online, so I don't think it'll cause any problems. When you set up an account it asks you who you are (i.e. what role you are playing in the application process) so I assume the system is intelligent enough to know if there's already an MA account set up with that TRN and to allow you access as the applicant without interfering with the process. I'm not sure if the TRN for the nomination is the same as for the application, I assume it would be but I know the SBS number is different. oh, it didnt ask me who I was? so I have set up the account (in his name) but dont know how to search using the TRN?
