Hi we arrived in cairns 5 weeks ago loving It so far. We have rented an apartment In trinity beach for now. It's beautiful and everything we thought it would be. The weather has been quite wet which is quite out of the ordinary apparently for this time of year but saying that 1/2 hour after the rain stops it's glorious sunbathing weather :-) that is all I can offer at the moment as we have only just arrived! Hoping the summer isn't going to be as hard as I think it is but am sure we will acclimatise soon (I say hopefully) Good luck with your move.

Hi there my family and I moved from the UK to Cairns 5 weeks ago! We are in our early 30s with a 11 yr old son and a 7 yr old daughter! We are in Trinity Beach. Got our visas this morning - WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!! In 14 days - so so so excited!! Cairns here we come :-))))))

Ours went in on 7th so just two days between! Hope we both hear really soon! Ours is for sponsorship nomination and visa so may be a while! Our ma hasn't heard anything yet!

We are going to cairns - how about you? We have told ourselves 4 weeks but hoping for sooner! We have used a migration agent and he says anything from 2 to 6 weeks! I'm sure you will hear soon! Is your application for all three or just visas?

Aw I hope it's sooner for you! We got job offer end of November so it's been a drag until now but finally some movement! The job is in cairns!! What are your plans, where are you hoping to go?

After waiting,waiting and more waiting for the gathering of documents etc hubby's 457 visa application was lodged this morning!!! Now for more waiting but so so excited it's finally in!! Yay!!
