Hi
thanks so much for your reply! We actually booked our flights today and arrive 2 April!!!! I've sent my application to AHRI to transfer my CIPD membership over today. I've also got just over 10 years experience and for past two years I've worked at Transport for London which is highly unionised and a complex and sometimes challenging place to work. I'm hoping like you local employers will view my experience as transferable and give me a chance. As soon as my AHRI is confirmed ill do a couple of e-courses. We are on a 457 but will be applying for PR in two years. I will PM you as I've probably got a million questions thanks again Kez
Thx everyone it's been a strange day, exciting, nervous, anxious, head full of things to do but grateful we have a chance to move to oz! Very lucky.. New adventure begins
OMG we got our 457 visa granted this morning so relieved and excited!!! Melbs here we come!!
thanks to PIO for keeping me sane and offering support along the way!
Hello
still nothing here either my BF is convinced we'll hear this week!! I've never felt so much in limbo in my life..
Come on nice visa people make some lovely pio people happy!!!
Thx Amy...Ah I've heard they do that my bf keeps telling me to stop looking at flights as 'they' know and track?!?! I'll try for bigger luggage nothing to lose! Still no news it's been two weeks today did you see wombat got his in just under 3 weeks so I'm hoping we get same luck! Emailing MA today just in case she has any updates.
Hey AMy
good tip, we will prob fly SA but if we can bump up liggage to 40kg that would be amazing..I wonder if we need to book direct or we can ask for thios through a travel agent? I uslaly book through trailfinders so will ask them when looking for the flights.
4K for your flight good job your company are paying!!! Economy at the mo is only 650 ow...im hoping it stays that way too..
My experience only: If you don't have the degree for 457 you will usually need 5 years relevant experience. After 2 years on 457 you can the apply for PR through transition route and you don't need a skills assessment. That's what we are planning, my BF hadn't finished his degree but has 11 years experience in the occupation that has been nominated.
Im going crazy and we only lodged nomination and visa on 22 Jan!!!! Our status says all documents received, no meds required and in process. I WANT the visa NOW...It really seems like pot luck when it comes to processing times eh..
ah really thats loads! were they good? how big in feet is the largest container then? im sure i read it was just over 6ft? must have read it wrong...they certainly seem cheap, dont mind packing it all up ourselves either if it saves us some money.
Hi all
we are at the stage where we need to get quotes too. We only have a one bed flat and we're not taking any sofas/chairs or wardrobes or white goods, however it's surprising still how much we want to take! I think movecube looked too small so now looking at John Mason what others would you recommend?
Cheers
